Raseborg sub-region is a subdivision of Uusimaa and one of the Sub-regions of Finland since 2009.
The main tourist attraction of the region, but also one of the Top 10 Visitors Attractions in Finland is the Raseborg Castle (Raaseporin Linna). It is supposed that the castle was built by the royal council leader of Magnus IV of Sweden in 1370, besides to have sustained continuous developments up to the 16th century. Raseborg Castle was designed to defend the then Swedish territory of Southern Finland. It would also go on to be the focal point of clashes with the Danes as well as pirates.
The time being, visitors to Raseborg Castle can look at its restored outer wall as well as its other ruins, such as wooden barrier which in the past encircled the castle, stopping entrance to the harbour to foreign ships.

Ekenäs is a town and former municipality in Finland that comprised the former municipalities of Snappertuna and Tenala together with the town of Ekenäs. It was merged with Pohja and Karis to form the new municipality of Raseborg on January 1, 2009. Ekenäs is in the province of Southern Finland, and is part of the Uusimaa region. The town had a population of 14,754 and covered a land area of 726.73 square kilometres (280.59 sq mi). The population density was 20.30 inhabitants per square kilometre (52.6/sq mi). The town is bilingual, with the majority being Swedish speakers (81%), and the minority Finnish speakers (17%).
The Raseborg Castle, is a medieval castle in Raseborg, Finland. The castle was active from 1370s to 1553. Today the ruins are open to the public in the summer and the castle is host to the yearly Raseborg Summer Theatre.
Linnanmäki is an amusement park in Helsinki, Finland. It was opened on 27 May 1950 and is owned by the non-profit Children's Day Foundation, which operates the park to raise funds for Finnish child welfare work. Kastelholm Castle is a Swedish-built medieval castle located off Road 2 in Sund, Åland, Finland, approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) northeast of Mariehamn, overlooking a fjord to the south of the village of Kastelholm. The County of Raseborg was a historic county in southern Finland. It was donated posthumously to Sten Eriksson Leijonhufvud, whose wife Ebba Leijonhufvud became its first holder in 1569. The county was passed down in the Leijonhufvud family until the Crown recaptured it in the Great Reduction of 1680.
