Plot

The story revolves around a young man who is grew up in the deserts of Kutch and a young girl from a foreign land and how their love story further develops. [1]

Production and release

The film was initially titled Rann but it was later changed to Rasiya Tari Radha Rokani Rann Ma. [6] The film was shot at the different location in Kutch including at the Great Rann of Kutch. [1] [3] It was released on 20 June 2014, [2] and became successful. [7] [8]

Music

The film features six songs composed by Manoj-Vimal duos including "Mara Manada Ni Meet", "Preet Kare Pukar", "Rasiya Tari Radha", "Maya Te Lagadi Sajan" and "Bhale Re Padharya". [9]

Reception

Mamta Soni was nominated for the Transmedia Awards in the Best Actress category. [10]

Battle of Bhuchar Mori

The Battle of Bhuchar Mori, also known as Battle of Dhrol, was fought between the army of Kathiawar led by Nawanagar State and the Mughal army at Bhuchar Mori plateau near Dhrol, Saurashtra. It was meant to protect Muzaffar Shah III, the last Sultan of Gujarat Sultanate who had taken asylum under Jam Sataji of Nawanagar after his escape from the Mughal emperor Akbar. It was fought in July 1591. The Kathiawar army included the armies of Junagadh and Kundla who betrayed Nawanagar and joined the Mughal army at last. The battle led to a large number of casualty on both sides. The battle resulted in the decisive victory of the Mughal army.

The Children's literature in Gujarati language of India has its roots in traditional folk lierature, Puranic literature, epics and fables from Sanskrit literature. Following 1830s, the large number of stories and fables adapted and translated from various traditional and western sources started to appear in Gujarati. Led by Gijubhai Badheka and Nanabhai Bhatt, the children's literature expanded rapidly in form of stories, poems, rhymes and riddles. Several authors and poets wrote for children intermittently and exclusively. Large number of magazines catering to children were published by middle of twentieth century. He is known primarily for his quirky biographical plays which include: Hu Chandrakant Bakshi based on the writer of the same name, Mohan No Masalo based on Mahatma Gandhi, Apurva Avsar based on Jain mystic Shrimad Rajchandra, Mareez based on poet Mareez, Jal Jal Mare Patang based on writer-philosopher Manilal Dwivedi, Karl Marx in Kalbadevi based on German philosopher Karl Marx, and Dr. Anandibai Joshi: Like, Comment, Share based on Anandi Gopal Joshi, India's first female doctor.
