Ravi Subramanian

Ravi Subramanian is an Indian author. A banker by profession, he has written popular thrillers about banking and bankers, including award winning trilogy The Incredible Banker, The Bankster and Bankerupt. An alumnus of IIM Bangalore, batch of 1993, Subramanian spent close to two decades in the financial services industry. After having worked with companies such as Citibank, HSBC and ANZ Grindlays, [1] he is now the CEO of a listed Non-banking financial company. [2]

Subramanian writes popular columns for well-known magazines and has his own personal weekly column in the career and business life page of The Economic Times . He says "I will be satisfied if people remember me as the Grisham of banking," [3] [4] referring to the American author best known for his legal thrillers.

His daughter Anusha Subramanian has been a published author since the age of 12. [5]

Subramanian Swamy is an Indian politician, economist and statistician. Before joining politics, he was a professor of Mathematical Economics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is known for his Hindu nationalist views. Swamy was a member of the Planning Commission of India and was a Cabinet Minister in the Chandra Shekhar government. Between 1994 and 1996, Swamy was Chairman of the Commission on Labour Standards and International Trade under former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao. Swamy was a long-time member of the Janata Party, serving as its president until 2013 when he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has written on foreign affairs of India dealing largely with China, Pakistan and Israel. He was nominated to Rajya Sabha on 26 April 2016 for a six-year term, ending on 24 April 2022.

Balaji Mohan is an Indian filmmaker and actor in Tamil-language films. Aman Sethi is an Indian journalist and writer. He was editor-in-chief of HuffPost India until it ceased operations in November, 2020. He is known for his debut A Free Man, a work of narrative reportage. Born in 1983 in Mumbai, Sethi completed his schooling at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi. He studied chemistry at St. Stephen's College, Delhi before moving on to study journalism at Asian College of Journalism, Chennai and business journalism in 2008 at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism as an Inlaks Scholar. As Chhattisgarh correspondent for The Hindu newspaper Sethi reported extensively on Maoist insurgency in the state for two years. He also won the International Red Cross committee award for the best Indian print media article on humanitarian issues in 2011.

Narayan was an Indian author best known for his debut novel Kocharethi (1998). Most of Narayan's novels deal with the lives of the tribal communities of Kerala. He belonged to the Malayarayar tribe and is considered Kerala's first tribal novelist.
