Raw Money Raps is the debut studio album by American hip hop musician Jeremiah Jae. It was released through Brainfeeder on July 24, 2012. [2]

Jeremiah Jae is an American rapper, record producer, and multimedia artist from Chicago, Illinois. First signed to the LA label Brainfeeder, in 2007, when the Ann Arbor based producer Samiyam passed on Jae's Lunch Special Part I to Flying Lotus. After a post, and then private message on his MySpace profile, Jae was flown out to LA to work with Flying Lotus.

Brainfeeder is an independent record label based in Los Angeles, California, founded by Flying Lotus in 2008, focusing on electronic music and instrumental hip hop. It has signed artists such as Ras G, Samiyam, The Gaslamp Killer, Thundercat, The Underachievers, Lapalux, Daedelus, and Mr. Oizo.

At Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average score out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 79, based on 8 reviews, indicating "generally favorable reviews". [3]

Eric Thorp of Clash gave the album an 8 out of 10 and described it as "an exciting audible adventure into progressive hip-hop." [5] Bram E. Gieben of The Skinny gave the album 4 out of 5 stars, saying, "A slow burner, Raw Money Raps is soulful, difficult, heartfelt and utterly modern." [9]
