Ray Nicholson (born February 20, 1992) is an American actor. [1] [2] He appeared opposite Diane Kruger in the Neil LaBute film Out of the Blue (2022). [3] On television, he appeared in the 2021 Amazon Prime Video series Panic . [4]
Parker Finn admitted that he cast Nicholson in Smile 2 (2024) as a homage to Jack Torrance, the character his father played in The Shining (1980). [5]
Nicholson is the son of Jack Nicholson and Rebecca Broussard. [6]

Jack Napier, also known as the Joker, is a fictional character introduced in the 1989 superhero film Batman, directed by Tim Burton. Primarily portrayed by Jack Nicholson, the character was based on the DC Comics supervillain the Joker. His name is a play on the word Jackanapes, as well as a reference to the names Jack Nicholson and Alan Napier, the latter having portrayed Alfred Pennyworth in the 1960s Batman TV series and having died the previous year.
