Adi Ladson (born December 7, 1983), better known by his stage name Rayne Storm, is an American rapper and producer from Harlem, New York. He initially gained attention in 2006 with the release of his first mixtape Storms Coming. Since his debut on Storms Coming, Rayne has founded the independent label Monopolyhouse, released several remixes to chart-topping or viral songs and has made a number of guest appearances. On January 1, 2016, Rayne released his EP titled Supreme with features from Tash (rapper) of Tha Alkaholiks, DecadeZ, L.I.V.E.Wire, iLL Drew, Profane Remy, Black Silver, Perelini and Harlem Hitman. Supreme EP was re-released in 2018 with "All Black (Black Panther Remix)" inspired by the Marvel movie Black Panther as well as a new song "Work (Who Gettin' It)" and intro/outro skits.

Early life

Rayne, who is of African American and Native American descent, was raised in Harlem and spent most of his childhood growing up in New York City. He began writing rhymes while a sophomore in high school after a competition with friends. As a senior, Rayne became a television and radio show host for Teen Talk Productions. As a host of the television show, he won a PASS Award for an episode about the September 11 attacks. As a radio show host he interviewed "World Hop" artist Don Yute and 90s R&B singer Horace Brown.[ citation needed ] After graduating Rayne joined Art Start's Hip-Hop Project, which collaborated with Russell Simmons and others, leading to the documentary The Hip Hop Project, executive produced by Bruce Willis and Queen Latifah. Rayne later spent a few years recording with the independent label Ravenel Records before pursuing a career as an independent artist and producer.

Career

In 2006, Rayne released his first mixtape Storms Coming which gained him a small buzz and recognition. He later released The Unkrowned King (2008), Storms Coming TWS Edition (2010) and Supreme: The Mixtape (Dec 2015). On January 1, 2016, he released his first official EP, Supreme, which was re-released in 2018. The first "Remixes" mixtape was released in 2017 with next 2 installments coming back to back in October and November 2018. "Remixes IV" was released in March 2019 and the next installment, "Remixes V" on October 17, 2020. "The Classic Collection" is a 3 mixtape compilation of freestyles, remixes and features released individually between June and July 2018. On December 7, 2020, Rayne released his long-awaited debut album Uptown Baby, which topped the iTunes charts in Denmark at #41 in Hip-Hop/Rap with the single "Yada Yada" ft. Pudgee Tha Phat Bastard & Kazzy Raxx. The sequel to his first mixtape, Storms Coming II was released on April 3, 2021.

Rayne's next EP "Summer In The City" was released on Sept 21, 2021, and featured a music video for the title track. The song "Prolly Me" ft. DecadeZ reached #81 on Planet Radio in Germany. Rayne Storm's sophomore album "AudioCity" is his most successful to date gaining over 150,000 Spotify streams in its first year of release. "AudioCity" debuted on February 22, 2022, and contained high profile features such as DMC, Sticky Fingaz & Canibus. The album topped the iTunes charts in Bahrain (#4 in Hip-Hop and #21 in All Genres) with the single "Revenge" ft. Jarren Benton & Kony Brooks and South Africa (#35 in Hip-Hop) with "Dive Bar" ft. Killah Priest and KingFsorrow. "Remixes 6" was released on December 22, 2022, and included original songs such as "Armageddon" ft. Killah Priest & KingFsorrow, "Verzuz (Run This Shit)" and "Just Gettin' Warm". On Nov 10, 2023, Rayne released his latest album, "Audiocity II" with major features from Cam'ron, Benny The Butcher, Jadakiss and others.

Rayne is best known for his cadence, flow and unique production style. His rap influences include Big L, Jay Z, The Lox (Styles P, Jadakiss & Sheek Louch), Mobb Deep (Prodigy & Havoc), Nas, The Notorious B.I.G. & Tupac. He names producers Dr. Dre, Pharrell Williams, DJ Premier, Kanye West, Timbaland, Ryan Leslie & Frank Zappa as inspiration for his production.

The Hrsmn is an American hip hop supergroup consisting of the artists Canibus, Ras Kass, Killah Priest, and Kurupt. They have released two albums. The name of the group is in reference to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, who appear in the Book of Revelation from the Bible. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are traditionally named Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death. Throughout the HRSMN songs, there are many references to each of the members representing a specific entity. They are Pestilence, War (Canibus), Famine (Kurupt), and Death. They have each frequently appeared on each of the members solo albums, such as Canibus's 2000 B.C. and Killah Priest's Priesthood. Pharoahe Monch was also closely affiliated, acting as the hype man on the leaked "I'm a Horseman (Promo)" and rapping on "Horsemen" from Canibus's 2000 B.C. . In August 2000, Canibus listed Monch as the fifth member of the group, though further releases in subsequent years would not include or reference him.

The Lox is an American hip hop trio composed of East Coast rappers Sheek Louch, Styles P and Jadakiss. Each hailing from Yonkers, New York, the group formed in 1994 and signed with Puff Daddy's Bad Boy Records two years later to release their debut studio album, Money, Power & Respect (1998). Despite critical and commercial success, the group parted ways with the label in favor of Ruff Ryders Entertainment in 1999, through which they released their similarly successful follow-up, We Are the Streets (2000).

Ramone Johnson, better known by his stage name Cashis, is an American rapper who was born and raised in Chicago, but moved to Irvine, California. He was most notably featured on the Shady Records album Eminem Presents: The Re-Up with Eminem and the record label, and released The County Hound EP in 2007. The County Hound EP sold 6,700 copies in its first week and debuted on the US Billboard 200 at number 106. He's best known for appearing on Eminem's song, "You Don't Know", featuring 50 Cent and Lloyd Banks.

Jermaine Coleman, better known by his stage name Maino, is an American rapper and radio personality. After an ineffective tenure with Universal Motown Records, he signed with Atlantic Records to release his 2008 debut single, "Hi Hater", which entered Billboard's Hot Rap Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Bubbling Under Hot 100 charts. His 2009 follow-up single, "All the Above" peaked within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and received platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Both songs preceded the release of his debut studio album If Tomorrow Comes… (2009), which peaked at number 25 on the Billboard 200. Marc Shemer, better known by his stage name Scram Jones, is a producer, DJ and rapper from New Rochelle, New York. He has produced music for Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Styles P, Tragedy Khadafi, Jadakiss, Saigon, Dipset and Troy Ave. He has been featured in The Source magazine's "Unsigned Hype" column. Scram Jones is jewish.

Keith Grayson, professionally known as DJ Kay Slay, was an American disc jockey (DJ) from New York City. He is referred to by The New York Times as "Hip Hop's One-Man Ministry of Insults". He released four studio albums: The Streetsweeper, Vol. 1 (2003), The Streetsweeper, Vol. 2 (2004), The Champions: North Meets South, and More Than Just a DJ (2010). Consignment is the fifth mixtape released by rap artist Jadakiss. It was released on April 27, 2012. The mixtape has been downloaded over 1 million times on DatPiff, certifying it double platinum. Christopher Darnell Cook, professionally known as Sonaro, is an American music producer from Far Rockaway, New York. He is perhaps best known for producing songs for Brooklyn-bred rapper Fabolous. LaPreston Porter, better known by his stage name Snootie Wild, was an American rapper and singer. He was best known for his first single, "Yayo", which success helped launch his career. In October 2013, it was announced that a fellow Memphis-based rapper, Yo Gotti, had signed Wild to his Collective Music Group (CMG) imprint. In September 2014, Wild released his only extended play, Go Mode.
