Ready for Battle is the debut studio album by American hip hop group the Rock Steady Crew. It was released in 1984 via Virgin Records. Production was handled by Budd "Blue Soldier" Dixon and Stephen Hague. The album peaked at #19 on the VG-lista Topp 40 Album chart and at #45 on the Sverigetopplistan Veckolista Album chart. It spawned three singles: "(Hey You) The Rock Steady Crew", "Uprock" and "She's Fresh".

Antwan Afram, known professionally as Ant Wan, is a Swedish rapper of Assyrian/Syriac descent from Västerås. He grew up in the Råby area of Västerås and released his first songs in early 2016. His songs gained popularity in late 2016. He made a few songs in 2017 and later in 2018 changed his artist name to Ant Wan. His five-track EP Wow, which included the tracks "Wow", "Kall", "Rikare", "Fendi" and "Boo", reached the top of the Swedish Albums Chart.

"Uprock" is a song by American hip hop group the Rock Steady Crew from their debut studio album Ready For Battle. It was released in 1984 through Charisma/Virgin Records as the album's second single. Written by Budd "Blue Soldier" Dixon, Ruza Blue and Stephen Hague, and produced by Dixon and Hague, the song refers to uprock style of dance. The single made it to the top ten in Australia and found minor success on German and UK charts, reaching peak positions #27 and #64 respectively.
