Racewalking, or race walking, is a long-distance discipline within the sport of athletics. Although a foot race, it is different from running in that one foot must appear to be in contact with the ground at all times. Race judges carefully assess that this is maintained throughout the race. Typically held on either roads or running tracks, common distances range from 3,000 metres (1.9 mi) up to 100 kilometres (62.1 mi).

Faith Chepngetich Kipyegon is a Kenyan middle-distance runner specializing in the 1500 metres. Competing at the World Championships in 2015, 2017 and 2019, Kipyegon took a silver medal, a gold and a silver respectively. In July 2021, she achieved the fourth-fastest time in history, setting her consecutive Kenyan record.
Brett Robinson is an Australian track and field athlete specializing in the 5000 metres who has competed in the World Championships. Robinson qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He came 66th in the Men's marathon with a time of 2:24.04, over 15 minutes slower than the eventual winner Kenyan Eliud Kipchobe.

Rhydian Cowley is an Australian race walker born in Glen Waverley, Victoria who specialises in the 50 kilometres race walk and 20 kilometres race walk. Cowley competed in the 2013 World Championships in Moscow and the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. For both of his major championship competitions, Cowley qualified in the 20 kilometres race walk. He has also competed at a Summer Universiade, five World Race Walking Cups, and a World Junior Championships. In 2021, he competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo where he finished in 8th in the men's 50 kilometres walk with a new personal best time of 3:52.01 just 113 seconds behind the eventual winner Dawid Tomala of Poland.

Keely Nicole Hodgkinson is an English athlete specialising in the 800 metres. At the age of 19, she won a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, breaking British record set by Kelly Holmes in 1995. Both Hodgkinson's Tokyo result and her junior indoor mark, which was the first British women's world under-20 record for 36 years, are European U20 records, making her at 800m the fourth-fastest and the second-fastest under-20 woman of all time respectively. In 2021, she became the Diamond League champion, and the youngest ever women's 800m European indoor champion as well as the second-youngest British holder of the European Athletics Indoor Championships title.
The 2021 British Athletics Marathon and 20 km Walk Trial was held on 26 March 2021 as a trial event for British athletes to qualify for the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. It was the first time since 1980 that a dedicated marathon trial event was held, and the courses consisted of multiple laps around Kew Gardens in London.
Marthe Yankurije is a Rwandan long-distance runner. In 2018, she won her country's 10,000 metres and Cross-Country Championships. She also won the half marathon race at the 2021 Kigali International Peace Marathon, and competed in the 5,000 metres event at the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics.

Kyle Swan is an Australian racewalking athlete. He qualified to represent Australia at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo 2021, competing in men's 20 kilometres walk. Swan managed to finish the race. He came 36th with a time of 1:27.55., nearly 4 minutes off his PB This was 6:50 behind the eventual winner Massimo Stano of Italy.
