Red Alert is the fourth album by British jazz pianist Janette Mason. It is the first of her albums to be released on vinyl [1] as well as in digital format and as a CD. Dot Time Records issued the CD (and accompanying digital release) in 2017 [2] and the vinyl recording in March 2018.

Reviewing the album for The Guardian , John Fordham said: "With album Red Alert, London pianist Janette Mason’s trio – fuelled by energies from the Bad Plus, David Bowie, Goldfrapp, Robert Wyatt and plenty more – uncork a typically eclectic, skilful and audience-friendly brew." [3]

Elina Duni is a Swiss-Albanian jazz singer and composer. She left Albania at the age of ten to live and study in Geneva, Switzerland. She went on to study singing, composition and teaching at the University of the Arts Bern, but from 2004 onwards Albanian folk music became a prime influence. At this moment, in 2004, she formed a quartet under her own name with the Swiss jazz pianist Colin Vallon, bassist Patrice Moret and drummer Norbert Pfammatter. In a review, John Fordham concluded that "This quartet definitely sounds like rising star material for ECM." After two albums – Baresha (2008) and Lume Lume (2010) – on Meta Records, the quartet went on to record for ECM in 2012, with Matanë Malit and in 2015, Dallëndyshe (Swallow). D'Ranged is the third album by British jazz pianist Janette Mason. It was released in 2014 by Fireball Records and features vocalists Gwyneth Herbert, David McAlmont, Vula Malinga, Claire Martin and Tatiana LadyMay Mayfield. It has been described as "a series of arrangements of an eclectic mix of classic soul songs, 70’s disco and 80’s pop tunes... all given a distinctive twist by arranger and pianist Mason, and performed by a stellar cast of collaborators from her wide ranging career." Jazz critic John Fordham gave it four stars in a review for The Guardian.

Stick in the Wheel are a band with its origins in working-class East London, UK. It consists of vocalist and artist Nicola Kearey and Ian Carter, their producer, arranger and Dobro player. They bring a contemporary approach to folk music with raw minimalism, setting vocals to simple accompaniments and handclaps, along with progressive synths and beats informed by the street music of their heritage.
