Reece Jones (born 1976) is a contemporary artist living in London.

Jones was brought up in Norfolk, England. [1] After graduating from Loughborough School of Art and Design he gained an MA from the Royal Academy Schools in 2002. [1] [2] He was one of the founding members of the Rockwell project space in Hackney. [1]

Work

Jones is known for his fragile charcoal drawings, which were built to create often surreal images. [3] His technique can include using sandpaper to create different tones and surfaces. [4]

Solo shows include All Visual Arts, London [5] [6] and 'Control Test' at the Triumph Gallery in Moscow in 2011 (Jones' first solo exhibition outside of London). [3]

Notable group shows include Turps Banana gallery, London; Herrick gallery, London; [7] The Agency Gallery, London; Saatchi Gallery, London; The Royal West of England Academy; [8] Stephane Simoens, Belgium; Voorkamer, Belgium; Drawing Room, London and 'Between the Lines' at All Visual Arts in April 2013. Reece Jones recently curated The Hair Of The Dog at Block 336 Brixton. [9] He was a selector for Barbican Arts Group Trust's Artworks Open in 2012 & 2013 [10] and curated Terminalia at Charlie Smith London in 2014. [11]

Writing includes the catalogue interview for Mittelland by Jonathan Wateridge. [12] He also lectures in Fine Art - Painting at City & Guilds of London Art School, Kennington. [13]

Kimathi Donkor is a London-based contemporary British artist whose paintings are known for their exploration of global, black histories. His work is exhibited and collected by international museums, galleries and biennials including London's National Portrait Gallery, the British Museum, the Diaspora Pavilion at the 57th Venice Biennial, the 29th São Paulo Art Biennial and the 15th Sharjah Biennial. T. V. Santhosh is an Indian artist based in Mumbai. He obtained his graduate degree in painting from Santiniketan and master's degree in Sculpture from M.S. University, Baroda. Santhosh has acquired a major presence in the Indian and International art scene over the last decade with several successful shows with international galleries and museums. His earlier works tackle global issues of war and terrorism and its representation and manipulation by politics and the media. Santhosh's sculptural installation "Houndingdown" was exhibited in Frank Cohen collection ‘Passage to India’. Some of his prominent museum shows are ‘Aftershock’ at Sainsbury Centre, Contemporary Art Norwich, England in 2007 and ’Continuity and Transformation’ show promoted by Provincia di Milano, Italy. He lives and works in Mumbai.

Founded in 1854 as the Lambeth School of Art, the City and Guilds of London Art School is a small specialist art college located in central London, England. Originally founded as a government art school, it is now an independent, not-for-profit charity, and is one of the country's longest established art schools. It offers courses ranging from art and design Foundation, through to BA (Hons) undergraduate degrees and MA postgraduate courses in fine art, carving, conservation, and art histories. In addition, it offers the only undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Britain in stone and wood carving: architectural stone and woodcarving and gilding.

Daphne Wright is an Irish visual artist, who makes sculptural installations using a variety of techniques and media to explore how a range of languages and materials can be used to probe unspoken human preoccupations. Ronald Forbes RSA, RGI is an artist who is primarily a painter but who has also made films throughout his career. He is an academician of the Royal Scottish Academy, was elected a Professional Member of the Society of Scottish Artists in 1971 and a member of the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts in 2013.

Rita Keegan, is an American-born artist, lecturer and archivist, based in England since the late 1970s. She is a multi-media artist whose work uses video and digital technologies. Keegan is best known for her involvement with in the UK's Black Arts Movement in the 1980s and her work documenting artists of colour in Britain.

David Emmanuel Noel is a London-born painter, illustrator and designer with a career that includes working on art projects with local government bodies and charitable organizations such as the CAMBA, and the NSPCC. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, he has worked extensively with health professionals, architects, designers, and professional institutes, including the Royal Institute of British Architects, championing design quality and therapeutic benefits of art in public spaces. He was a director of the Brixton Artists Collective (BAC) in the early 1990s, established Artsway Ltd; a promotion company for visual and performance artists in the UK, and is a Co-Founder of PR and Arts Media company Occhi Arts & Entertainment, publisher of Occhi Magazine. He continues to work with other artists on collaborative projects.

Giovanni Aloi is an author and curator specializing in the representation of nature in modern and contemporary art. He teaches art history and visual culture at School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He is the Founder and Editor in Chief of Antennae: The Journal of Nature in Visual Culture and is the co-editor of the University of Minnesota Press book series Art after Nature. Aloi is also USA correspondent for Esse Magazine Art+Opinion.

The Sanchez Art Center is a nonprofit arts organization located in Pacifica, California. It was formed in 1996 by local artists and community members.
