On July 1, 1994, the McFaddin Independent School District consolidated into the Refugio district. [2]
Refugio Independent School District is a public school district based in Refugio, Texas (USA).
Located in Refugio County, a small portion of the district extends into Bee and Victoria counties.
In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. [1]

On December 16, 2011 the Refugio Bobcats were victorious in the State Title game against the Cisco Loboes. With a score of 36-35, the Bobcats claimed their third Championship in school history, and the first since 1982. It was Coach Jason Herring's second championship, as he coached the Sonora Broncos to a title in 2000.
In 2011, ESPN's Outside the Lines program highlighted Jason Herring and the Refugio High School football team's preparation for the state playoffs, where they routinely could not avoid running up the score. Having missed the state championship game in three consecutive years, Coach Herring decided to better prepare his team for the postseason, resulting in a heated controversy that even led to death threats to the coach. The Woodlands High School is a public high school located in The Woodlands CDP in Montgomery County, Texas, and is a part of the Conroe Independent School District. A section of the Montgomery County portion of The Woodlands and unincorporated areas south of the city of Conroe are served by The Woodlands High School. In 2019, the school received an A grade from the Texas Education Agency.

The secondary campus was incorporated as one school two campuses 2020-2021 school year. Its mascot is the Bobcat. The school serves much of San Angelo and the unincorporated community of Tankersley.

Harlingen High School South, abbreviated as HHSS, is public high school located in Harlingen, Texas (USA). It is part of the Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District. It is one of five public high schools in Harlingen. Harlingen High School was the sole high school until 1993 when the Alamo Ninth Grade Academy officially changed to a high school. It opened under the leadership of Principal Guadalupe Nava, who would remain in that role until retiring in 2010, and graduated its first class in 1994, with more than 350 seniors.
The Texas State Bobcats football program Texas State University in college football at the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level. They play in the Sun Belt Conference. The program began in 1904 and has an overall winning record. The program has a total of 14 conference titles, nine of them being outright conference titles. Home games are played at Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos, Texas.
