Regenesis Creation is the third album by the American symphonic black metal band Vesperian Sorrow.

An album is a collection of audio recordings issued as a collection on compact disc (CD), vinyl, audio tape, or another medium. Albums of recorded music were developed in the early 20th century as individual 78-rpm records collected in a bound book resembling a photograph album; this format evolved after 1948 into single vinyl LP records played at 33 ¹⁄₃ rpm. Vinyl LPs are still issued, though album sales in the 21st-century have mostly focused on CD and MP3 formats. The audio cassette was a format used alongside vinyl from the 1970s into the first decade of the 2000s.

Symphonic black metal is a subgenre of black metal that emerged in the mid to late 1990s, and incorporates symphonic and orchestral elements.

Lyrically, the album is a concept album telling a fictional story of a race of beings from another world, exiled and forced with a new beginning to live on another planet.^[1] The ending song is the climax to the album when the new race conquers their enemies and are free to rule their new homeland.^[1] The album was supposed to be a 2005 release on the liner notes to the album but was not available to the public until May 2006.^[2] Before the release of the album, the band toured the UK, the USA and Canada to promote the album.^[3] The album received rave reviews from critics for a second time regarding them as "one of the best black metal bands in the country".^[1] The album is known for having a powerfully symphonic and melodic sound as well as sounding like a Scandinavian band has made the album.^[1] Most reviewers criticized the use of keyboards and thought they were overpowering the album, nonetheless it only adds to the music and gives off a powerful sensation to the music.^[1] "Quest of the Exiled" is the most requested song for the band to play live and is Donn Donni's favorite song Vesperian Sorrow has written.^[1]

Invisible Circles is the third studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band After Forever. It was released on 25 March 2004, by the small Dutch label Transmission Records. It is After Forever's first full-length album since the dismissal of guitarist and composer Mark Jansen, whose musical tastes had strongly influenced the sound of their first work Prison of Desire (2000) and their successful second offering Decipher (2001). In this work After Forever choose a new musical direction, mostly revolving around elements of progressive metal instead of the gothic and symphonic metal of previous albums. The creative process for Invisible Circles took more than a year and required the use of three recording studios in the Netherlands and Germany. A long tour to support the album brought the band to some of the most important European rock festivals and to Central and South America.

"Ever Dream" is the eighth single by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish which was the group's first single release in two years. The single also preluded a new album, Century Child.

Stormblåst is the second studio album by Norwegian black metal band Dimmu Borgir. It was released on 25 January 1996 through Cacophonous Records, and re-released in 2001 by Century Media. The album is entirely in the band's native language of Norwegian, and was their last album to be completely in Norwegian instead of English. Spiritual Black Dimensions is the fourth studio album by Norwegian black metal band Dimmu Borgir. It was released in 1999 by Nuclear Blast Records. A deluxe edition was released in 2004 with bonus material. There is also a digipak edition of this album which contains no bonus tracks. The digipak has reflective/holographic cover art. This release featured keyboardist Mustis and the clean vocals of ICS Vortex, as well as the departure of long-time drummer Tjodalv, guitarist Astennu, and bassist Nagash.

Chase the Dragon is the third studio album by English rock band Magnum. It was released in 1982 on Jet Records. Overseen by the Kansas producer Jeff Glixman, Chase the Dragon was the first recorded appearance by the new keyboard player Mark Stanway, although he had made his live debut at Magnum's appearance at the Reading Festival in 1980. Their lyrics tend to be less extreme than most black metal bands that cover themes of Satanism and Anti-Christianity. They cover instead the cosmos, sorrow, sadness and darkness. Their name, Vesperian Sorrow, directly references this and translates to "sadness or sorrow in the evening hours."
