Premise
In the late 2000s, teenagers Morgan (Allison Williams), her boyfriend Chris (Scott Eastwood), her sister Jenny (Willa Fitzgerald), and Jenny's boyfriend Jonah (Dave Franco) form a tight-knit group, with Jonah secretly harboring feelings for Morgan as she becomes pregnant with Chris's child.[6]
Seventeen years later, their daughter Clara (Mckenna Grace) prepares for college and develops a crush on classmate Miller (Mason Thames), who may or may not still have a girlfriend. A car accident exposes Chris and Jenny's secret affair. The unfaithful partners die, leaving Morgan and Jonah to confront the betrayal, grieve their partners, and decide how to move forward for themselves and for Clara.[6]
On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 28% of 76 critics' reviews are positive.The website's consensus reads: "Regrettable all around."[19]Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 33 out of 100, based on 19 critics, indicating "generally unfavorable" reviews.[20]
