Rehoboth Urban West is an electoral constituency in the Hardap region of Namibia, comprising the suburbs of Rehoboth that are situated to the west of the national road B1. It had a population of 11,197 in 2011, up from 9,238 in 2001. [1] As of 2020 [update] the constituency had 8,324 registered voters. [2]
Rehoboth was traditionally a stronghold of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) party. In the 2004 regional election, SWAPO candidate Theo Diergaardt received 1,261 of the 2,468 votes cast and became councillor. [3]
The 2015 regional elections were won by Laurena Wilhelmina Christ of the United People's Movement (UPM) with 1,975 votes. No other constituency in Hardap Region was won by an opposition candidate. [4] Diergaardt, the sitting councillor and then-deputy minister of Lands and Resettlement [5] of the ruling SWAPO party came second with 1,479 votes, followed by Marthinus Christiaan Kotze of the Democratic Turnhalle Alliance (DTA, 159 votes). The 2020 regional election were won by Harald Kambrude of the Landless People's Movement (LPM, a new party registered in 2018). He obtained 1,237 votes. Francis Huish of the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM, the new name of the DTA) came second with 766 votes, followed by Karl Manfred Draghoender (SWAPO, 706 votes). The sitting councillor Christ ran as an independent candidate in 2020 but only obtained 94 votes. [2]
Hardap is one of the fourteen regions of Namibia, its capital is Mariental. Hardap contains the municipality of Mariental, the towns Rehoboth and Aranos, and the self-governed villages Gibeon, Gochas, Kalkrand, Stampriet and Maltahöhe. It is home to the Hardap Dam.
Sibbinda Constituency is an electoral district of Namibia that is located in the Zambezi Region. Its centre is Sibinda which is a settlement 63 kilometres out of Katima Mulilo. The constituency office is situated in Aroab. It had a populations of 7,219 in 2011, up from 6,399 in 2001. As of 2020 the constituency had 6,398 registered voters.
Khomasdal Constituency is a constituency in Windhoek in the Khomas Region of Namibia. As of December 2019 it had 25,550 registered voters. The constituency consists of parts of the suburbs Khomasdal, Katutura, and Otjomuise. It had a population of 43,921 in 2011, up from 27,950 in 2001.
Windhoek East is a constituency in the Khomas Region of Namibia. It consists of the upper-class suburbs of Windhoek: Auasblick, Avis, Klein Windhoek, Ludwigsdorf, Luxury Hill, Olympia, and Suiderhof. It had a population of 22,712 in 2011, up from 17,674 in 2001. As of 2020, it has 17,308 registered voters.

Daweb constituency was formed from the western part of Gibeon Constituency.
