Heskey[1] was born in Liverpool in 18 January 2008.[2] His father, Emile Heskey, was a Wigan Athletic player at the time. He lived for a part of his childhood in Australia when his father played for Newcastle Jets. In 2016, Heskey joined the Manchester City academy at the age of eight years old.[3]
Club career
In November 2023, Heskey appeared for Manchester City U19 at the age of 15 years old in the UEFA Youth League alongside his brother Jaden Heskey against Young Boys U19, and scored in a 3–0 win.[4][5]
Heskey was promoted to the Manchester City U21 side also known as the Elite Development Squad (EDS) – for the 2024–25 season at the age of 16 years old and scored a hat-trick in the space of 22 minutes on his debut as a substitute in Premier League 2 against Norwich City U21.[3][6][7] He played for the club's Under-21 side in the EFL Trophy that season and scored his first professional goal in that competition against Grimsby Town in October 2024.[8][9][10] On 24 September 2025, both Heskey and his brother Jaden made their senior debuts for City in a 2–0 away victory over EFL League One side Huddersfield Town in the EFL Cupthird round.[11]
Heskey is the son of former footballer Emile Heskey and wife Chantelle. His brother Jaden Heskey is also in the Manchester City Academy.[17] He is of Antiguan descent through his father, and English descent through his mother.[18]
