Labelle is an American all-female singing group who were a popular vocal group of the 1960s and 1970s. The group was formed after the disbanding of two rival girl groups in the Philadelphia/Trenton areas, the Ordettes and the Del-Capris, forming as a new version of the former group, later changing their name to The Blue Belles. The founding members were Patti LaBelle, Cindy Birdsong, Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash.

The Weather Girls are an American female duo whose best-known line-up comprised Martha Wash and Izora Rhodes-Armstead. Formed in 1976 in San Francisco, California, The Weather Girls members began their musical career as Two Tons O' Fun, the female backup duo for disco singer Sylvester. After years of limited success singing background for Sylvester, the duo were signed in 1979 to Fantasy Records. The Weather Girls was launched into mainstream recognition following the release of their best-selling single, "It's Raining Men" (1982), which became their first number-one Dance song. Despite critical and commercial success, the duo struggled to meet the success as "It's Raining Men" and ultimately disbanded after the release of their self-titled fifth album The Weather Girls in 1988.
Armand van Helden is an American DJ, record producer, remixer and songwriter from Boston. He was one of the main proponents of the speed garage genre, remixing various artists such as Katy Perry, Daft Punk, Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias, David Guetta, Sam Smith, Bloc Party, Janet Jackson, Juliet Roberts, KRS-One and Sneaker Pimps, among others with this musical style. He is closely linked to the electronic music scene of New York, although much of his chart success has been in Europe, particularly in the United Kingdom.
