Live! One Night Only is a live album by Patti LaBelle, released in September 1998 through the record label MCA. [1] The album earned LaBelle the Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance. The album was recorded in New York at the Hammerstein Ballroom on June 2, 1998. [2] [3]

Legacy

The duet cover of "Got to Be Real" was used as the title and theme song of the parody digital series Got 2B Real , which featured LaBelle and Carey as lead characters.

Only two singles made the charts which were "Get You Somebody New" which peaked at #50 on the Pop charts and their memorable song "Isn't It A Shame" which peaked at #18 on the R&B charts. "Isn't It A Shame" was later sampled by Nelly on his 2004 hit, "My Place", which featured Jaheim.

The title track found some international success upon its release while "I Don't Go Shopping" was her first top 40 R&B charted single since 1977.
