Maria Creveling (February 2, 1995 – December 27, 2019), also known as Remilia, [note 1] was an American professional League of Legends player. On January 16, 2016 she played her first game in the NA LCS as a support for Renegades, [2] becoming the first woman and transgender person to compete in the league. [1] [3] However, on February 5, 2016, Remilia announced that she was leaving Renegades and taking a hiatus from professional play, saying that on-stage pressure was negatively affecting her mental health. In 2015, Cloud9's Heroes of the Storm team won the first Heroes of the Storm World Championship, becoming the inaugural winner of the championship. The Renegades, officially the Detroit Renegades and previously the LA Renegades, are a professional esports organization that fields teams in Overwatch, Paladins, Vainglory, Super Smash Bros., and Rocket League. It previously had a League of Legends team that qualified for the 2016 North American League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), but it was sold to Team EnVyUs after the owners were banned from NA LCS ownership.

Christopher Kjell Mykles, better known by his nickname MonteCristo, is an esports color commentator and analyst. He is also the founder of esports organization Renegades. He gained prominence whilst working with League of Legends, most notably as an English-language commentator for OnGameNet, broadcaster of the LCK, from 2012 through 2016. He also worked on the broadcast team for the League of Legends World Championship from 2013 to 2015. In 2013 and 2014, he was the coach of Counter Logic Gaming. He is currently employed as a shoutcaster for the Overwatch League.
