Remixes is a compilation album of remixes, and third overall release, from Latin pop singer Enrique Iglesias. The album was released on 5 May 1998. The album contains a number of remixes of tracks from Iglesias' first two albums, Enrique Iglesias and Vivir . The album was the first of three compilation releases made available by Fonovisa before Iglesias signed a deal with Interscope records in 1999. The album contains the first release of the English-language version of "Sólo En Ti", titled "Only You", which was later re-released on the more commercial release Bailamos Greatest Hits , released in 1999.The album was certified gold in u.s with sales of 500,000 copies. Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler is a Spanish singer, songwriter, actor and record producer who is widely regarded as the King of Latin Pop. Iglesias started his career in the mid-1990s on an American Spanish-language record label Fonovisa Records under the stage name Enrique Martinez, before switching to his notable surname Iglesias. By the turn of the millennium, after becoming one of the biggest stars in Latin America and the Hispanic market in the United States, he made a successful crossover into the US mainstream market. He signed a multi-album deal with Universal Music Group for US$68 million with Universal Music Latino to release his Spanish albums and Interscope Records to release English albums. In 2010, he parted with Interscope Records and signed with another Universal Music Group label Republic Records to release bilingual albums. In 2015, Iglesias parted ways with Universal Music Group after being there for over a decade. He signed with Sony Music and his subsequent albums to be released by Sony Music Latin in Spanish and RCA Records in English.
Enrique Iglesias is the eponymous debut studio album recorded by Spanish singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias, it was released by Fonovisa in November 1995. The album was a success and topped the Latin charts. It also won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album at the 39th Annual Grammy Awards on 26 February 1997. The album received a Gold certification in Portugal after a weeks of sales, and has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide. In the United States it was certified Platinum on 18 November 1996, becoming one of the best selling latin albums of all times in that country. The album was characterised by pop-rock ballads with catchy hooks, memorable choruses and lyrics about teenage heartbreak, exuding a mediterranean romanticism with european sophistication. All singles of the album hit the number-one spot in the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart: "Si Tú Te Vas", "Por Amarte", "No Llores Por Mí" and "Trapecista", tying Selena and beating Jon Secada with four chart toppers.
"Only You" is a song written by English musician Vince Clarke. He wrote it while with Depeche Mode, but recorded it in 1982 after forming the duo Yazoo with Alison Moyet. It was released as Yazoo's first single on 15 March 1982 in the United Kingdom, and became an instant success on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 2. It would also reach the Top 10 in neighbouring Ireland as well as Australia. In the US, "Only You" was released as the band's second single in November 1982 and charted at number 67 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also made the US Adult Contemporary chart.

The album was released by Fonovisa after Iglesias had left them, and signed a deal with Interscope, who promptly sued Fonovisa for using the song "Bailamos", when it was recorded on their label.
