Renacer is DLG's first album after their breakup with previous lead singer Huey Dunbar. The album features Yahaira Vargas, otherwise known as Miss YaYa, as the new lead singer. The album received a Grammy nomination for "Best Tropical Latin Album. [1]
Renacer features long time group contributor Fragancia along with an invited guest singer Ness and Rapper/Singer/DJ, DJ Napoles(Napo). DLG released a new hit via radio in February 2008 called "Quiero decirte que te amo" which is a remake of Italian ballad of Laura Pausini, and also a Peruvian folk song cover called "Toro mata" (The Bull Kills). Also included is the remake of the ballad that was now done Salsa style of "Pero me acuerdo de ti", which was done by Christina Aguilera and was featured on her album "Mi Reflejo", which was written by songwriter Rudy Pérez. Sergio George had also included on the album of live performances of Miss Ya Ya and group doing the hit songs, "No morirá", "Volveré", "Muévete" and "Juliana".

Raulín Marte Rodríguez is a bachata artist, one of the first major bachata artists to have international success and popularize this style of music in the Dominican Republic.
"Pero Me Acuerdo de Ti" is a song written and produced by Rudy Pérez. It was first recorded by Puerto Rican singer Lourdes Robles on her album Definitivamente (1991). In the ballad, the singer remembers her lover even when she tries to forget. Nine years later, American recording artist Christina Aguilera included a cover version on her second studio album Mi Reflejo which Pérez also produced. It was released as the second single from the album in December 2000. The music video for Aguilera's version was directed by Kevin Bray.
Miranda! is an Argentine electropop band formed in 2001. Original band members include Alejandro Sergi (vocals), Juliana Gattas (vocals), Lolo Fuentes (guitar), Bruno de Vincenti (programming), and since 2003, Nicolás Grimaldi (bass), while currently it's a duo between Sergi and Gattas. The group has found success throughout Latin America as well as in the United States and Europe.
Dark Latin Groove (DLG) is a salsa band that mixes salsa, reggae and hip-hop. The group was brought together in New York by producer Sergio George and included Huey Dunbar, Fragancia, and James "Da Barba" de Jesus.
Sergio George is an American/Puerto Rican pianist, arranger, and record producer, known for working with many famous performers of salsa music, although he has worked in other genres of the music industry as well. He has worked with some of Latin music's most popular artists starting with Marc Anthony, DLG, Jennifer Lopez, Tito Nieves, Víctor Manuelle, Frankie Negrón, Johnny Rivera, Ray Sepúlveda, Tito Puente, Thalia, Orquesta de la Luz, Ivy Queen, Celia Cruz, La India, Jerry Rivera, Bacilos, Leslie Grace, Toby Love, Cheo Feliciano, Prince Royce, Liz Elias, Indy Flow, among others.
Ismael Serrano is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Spain, popular in Spain and Latin America, known for his often political lyrics and eclectic musical influences. During his creative career he has been influenced by other Spanish singer-songwriters such as Joaquín Sabina, Joan Manuel Serrat and the Cuban Silvio Rodríguez amongst others. His music also shows influences from renowned poets such as Luis García Montero and Mario Benedetti.
Luis Segura, is a popular traditional Dominican singer who refers to himself as 'The Father of Bachata'. He is considered one of the best interpreters of traditional bachata with hits like "Pena por ti", "Dicen", and "No me celes tanto". Segura's first recordings were in the 1960s but it wasn't until his release of "Pena por ti" in the early 1970s that Segura hit stardom.
Gian Marco Javier Zignago Alcóver is a Peruvian singer-songwriter and actor. He has won the Latin Grammy Award for the Best Singer-Songwriter Album three times. First in 2005 for his album Resucitar, in 2011 for his album Días Nuevos, and in 2012 for his album 20 Años. Gian Marco was named UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in Peru.
Ramón Orlando Valoy García, is a Dominican musician, singer, arranger, composer, record producer and songwriter. Ramón Orlando has received seven Casandra awards including the Soberano, which is the most important category in the Dominican awards ceremony. In 2005, he was nominated for the Latin Grammy Award in the Best Merengue Album category.
Huey Dunbar is the former singer of Dark Latin Groove. Born to a Puerto Rican mother and a Jamaican father, he was exposed to music since his earliest years due to his parents' musical careers. His hits with the band included "La quiero a morir", "Juliana", "No Morirá", "Volveré", "Todo mi corazón", and a remake of Ricardo Montaner's original classic "Me va a extrañar". In 2000, he split up with DLG and since had a solo career which, though commercially successful, has not equaled the diverse acclaim accorded DLG. For his first solo album he was awarded "Best New Artist" by Billboard magazine, and received a Grammy nomination. The album was certified Gold and Platinum by RIAA. In 2007 Dunbar was invited by producer Sergio George to reunite with DLG, but Dunbar refused. The seven-year gap between Dunbar's 2003 and 2010 albums has not been publicly explained, but is uncharacteristic of a popular star at the peak of his career. Sales of "Huey Dunbar IV" were strong in Latin America. In Billboard's Tropical Songs chart, the single "Te amaré" had moved from the number 9 song to number 4. "Huey Dunbar IV", debuted on the Tropical Albums chart at Number 2 on March 20, 2010.
