Dollar and Deed is the second full-length studio album by Vice Cooler's California based solo project, Hawnay Troof. The double album was written and recorded during the Get Up! Resolution: Love worldwide tour in 2004 and 2005, and was later finished up at Cooler's home studio in Oakland. It was released through Retard Disco and Southern Records on May 16, 2006 in both CD and vinyl LP format, the latter including a deluxe 8-page photobook featuring over 200 photographs taken by Cooler during the world tour.

Gravy Train!!!! were an electroclash band from Oakland, California. The band released material on the labels S.P.A.M. Records, Cold Crush, Kill Rock Stars, Cochon Records, and Retard Disco. The band had four members, that went by the pseudonyms Chunx, Funx, Hunx, and Junx. Chunx and Funx formed the band in 2001 as a vehicle for recording humiliating songs about an ex-lover. It was for this purpose that their first single, "Hella Nervous", was recorded. Shortly after, the two-piece recruited two openly gay backup dancers, Hunx and Drunx. Drunx was later replaced by Junx.
The Lonely Biscuits are an American indie band. The band currently consists of Grady Wenrich, Sam Gidley (drums) and Nick Byrd (bass). The Lonely Biscuits formed in September 2011 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, where Grady Wenrich and Sam Gidley were roommates. John Paterini, former singer/guitarist, came into the picture later in the month after hearing some of their music from his dorm room across the hall. Two months later, Nick Byrd joined the band as an official "biscuit" playing bass guitar.

MTVU is an American digital cable TV channel owned by the MTV Entertainment Group, a unit of the Paramount Media Networks division of Paramount Global. The channel was first known as VH1 Uno from 2000 to 2004 before changing names when Viacom expanded MTVU programming beyond more than 750 college and university campuses across the United States, as part of internally originated cable systems that are a part of on-campus housing or college closed-circuit television systems to digital cable in all homes. Music videos played on the channel primarily consist of indie rock, pop punk and hip-hop along with limited original programming. MTVU also launched a short-lived campus guide and social media network called Campusdailyguide.com in 2008.
