Season 11 of the Revolution track series is being competed from October 2013 to March 2014, across a range of venues; the National Cycling Centre in Manchester, the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow and finally the Olympic Velodrome in London and will consist of 5 rounds.

Revolution was a series of track cycling events primarily held at the Manchester Velodrome in the north west of England. It was solely held in Manchester between 2003 and 2012. From Season 10 (2012–2013), meetings were additionally held at the new UK velodromes; in the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow, the Olympic Velodrome in London from Season 11 (2013–2014), and the Derby Arena from 2015 to 2016.

The 2014 Asian Para Games, also known as the 2nd Asian Para Games, was an Asian disabled multi-sport event held in Incheon, South Korea, from 18 to 24 October 2014, 2 weeks after the end of the 2014 Asian Games. This was the first time South Korea hosted the games. Around 4,500 athletes from 41 countries competed in the games which featured 443 events in 23 sports. The games was opened by the Prime Minister Chung Hong-won at the Incheon Munhak Stadium. The final medal tally was led by China, followed by host South Korea and Japan, while Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Singapore, Syria and Qatar won their first ever Asian Para Games gold medal. 24 world and 121 Asian records were broken during the Games.

The 1st European Games, also known as the 2015 European Games or Baku 2015, were the inaugural edition of the European Games, an international multi-sport event for athletes representing the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of the European Olympic Committees. It took place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 12 to 28 June 2015, and featured almost 6,000 athletes from 50 countries competing in 30 sports, including 15 summer Olympic and 2 non-Olympic sports.

The 2013–14 Mohun Bagan FC season was the club's 7th season in I-League and 124th season since its establishment in 1889. The team finished runners-up in the Calcutta Football League and a dismal eighth in the I-League. Mohun Bagan reached the semi-finals of the Federation Cup where they were defeated by Churchill Brothers and they bowed out in the group stage of the IFA Shield.

Portugal participated at the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 12 to 28 June 2015, with a delegation of 100 athletes that competed in 14 sports.

Season 13 of the Revolution series was held from August 2015 to January 2016 at velodromes in Derby, Manchester, London and Glasgow. It consisted of 6 rounds. The opening round in Derby was a special Olympic qualification event with an extended race program across four sessions in three days. The Revolution Elite Championship took place from Round 2 onward.
