Rhens is a former Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the district Mayen-Koblenz, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The seat of the municipality was in Rhens. On 1 July 2014 it merged into the new Verbandsgemeinde Rhein-Mosel.

Bad Kreuznach is a Verbandsgemeinde in the district of Bad Kreuznach, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The seat of the Verbandsgemeinde is in the town Bad Kreuznach, itself not part of the Verbandsgemeinde. The municipalities lie south and east of the town of Bad Kreuznach. The entire Verbandsgemeinde is 73.7 square kilometers large and has about 9,000 inhabitants.
Cochem is a Verbandsgemeinde in the district Cochem-Zell, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located around the town Cochem, which is the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde. On 1 July 2014 it was expanded with 6 municipalities from the former Verbandsgemeinde Treis-Karden. Since the 1 March 2018 Wolfgang Lambertz is the mayor of the Verbandsgemeinde Cochem.

It was historically part of the Duchy of Nassau, a sovereign state until 1866, and is currently located in the Nassau Nature Park. It is situated on the right bank of the Rhine, adjacent to the Nassau district and approx. 25 km southeast of Koblenz. Its seat is in Sankt Goarshausen. It was named after the Loreley Rock. On 1 July 2012, it merged with the former Verbandsgemeinde Braubach. Initially, the new Verbandsgemeinde was named "Braubach-Loreley", but it was renamed "Loreley" on 1 December 2012.

The seat of the municipality is in Kobern-Gondorf. It was formed on 1 July 2014 by the merger of the former Verbandsgemeinden Untermosel and Rhens.
