    <i>Manhwa</i> Comics created in Korea

    Manhwa is the general Korean term for comics and print-cartoons. Outside Korea, the term usually refers to South Korean comics. Manhwa is directly influenced by Japanese Manga comics. Modern Manhwa has extended its reach to many other countries. These comics have branched outside of Korea by access of Webtoons and have created an impact that has resulted in some movie and television show adaptations.

    <i>NOW</i> (manhwa)

    NOW is a manhwa by Park Sung-woo. It is published by Seoul Munhwasa and serialized in the weekly magazine IQ Jump Comics. It was printed in the United States by ComicsOne until it closed, and then distributed by Infinity Studios, who mainly published newer volumes digitally, until it was also defunct, leaving the series incomplete to English-speakers.

    <i>Kill Me, Kiss Me</i> Korean manhwa series

    Kill Me, Kiss Me is a Korean high school romantic-comedy manhwa originally created by Korean author Lee Young-you revolving around two identical cousins of different gender who end up switching places for about one week's time. K2 was first released in Korea published by Daiwon C.I. with the first volume on December 22, 2000, and later formed a total of five individual volumes by May 29, 2002. The manhwa volumes were distributed in English by Tokyopop between February 2004 and February 2005. Tokyopop radically redesigned the covers of the volumes from how they appeared in the Korean version. Kill Me, Kiss Me is published by Egmont Manga & Anime in Germany.

    Kim So-yeon is a South Korean actress. She is best known for starring in a number of well-known television dramas, notably All About Eve (2000), Iris (2009), Prosecutor Princess (2010), Happy Home (2016), and The Penthouse: War in Life (2020–2021).

    ICEkunion(Korean: 아이스쿠니온) is a company that was created by Sigongsa, Seoul Munhwasa(two of the four largest media empires in Korea) and Haksan Publishing that published South Korean manhwa comics in the United States. The firm's industry experience come from Studio ICE. Titles were licensed from manhwa publishing companies that originally sold them in The Republic of Korea in the Korean language. According to an interview conducted by ICV2, the original creators themselves were involved in the adaptation process for the English-language markets. In July 2007 it was announced through PW Comic Week that Ice Kunion was going to be completely absorbed by Yen Press, Hatchette's new manga impress. Manga released through ICEkunion is expected to be picked up through the new company, but will not release until spring 2008. Manhwa bearing the ICEkunion logo will remain in stores, but following prints will bear the Yen Press logo.

    <i>Lovers</i> (TV series) South Korean television series

    Lovers is a South Korean television series starring Kim Jung-eun and Lee Seo-jin who play a plastic surgeon and a gangster who enter into an unlikely romance. The series is based on the Lee Man-hee stage play Turn Around and Leave, the same work that inspired the 1998 blockbuster film A Promise  starring Jeon Do-yeon and Park Shin-yang. It aired on SBS from November 8, 2006 to January 11, 2007 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:55 for 20 episodes.

She joined the Miss Korea 2000 and used that as a springboard to an acting career, she made her acting debut in China in 2004 appeared in minor roles in several CCTV dramas. In 2005 Park was cast in her first starring role in the Korean drama My Girl, though at the time she was more known for dating actor-singer Eric Mun.     Won Soo-yeon is a South Korean female manhwa artist who writes in the shoujo (romance) genre. She debuted in 1987 and has published several titles; among her best known serials are Full House (2002) and its sequel Full House 2 (2005). Two of her comics have been adapted into television dramas: Full House (2004) and Mary Stayed Out All Night (2010).

    Ciel: The Last Autumn Story (씨엘) is a fantasy Korean manhwa written by Rhim Ju-yeon. It began serialization in 2005 in Daiwon C.I.Issue manhwa magazine. The first bound volume was released in December 2005 in South Korea; as of 2013, twenty-two volumes have been released, and it is planned to end at twenty-three. It follows a young girl named Yvien Magnolia as she escapes her hometown and enrolls in the prestigious Lowood Institution for Witches and Wizards. The manhwa has been licensed for release in German by Tokyopop under the title Ciel - Der letzte Herbst. Tokyopop licensed the manhwa to be released in English however it became postponed in 2008 along with many other Tokyopop releases.

    Soonjung Manhwa (Korean: 순정만화; RR: Sunjeong Manhwa; lit. "Pure/Romantic Comic" or the Korean version of shōjo manga; internationally, also known as Love Story and Crush On You, is a South Korean webtoon written by Kang Full. The story revolves around two unconventional romances with a noticeable age disparity. It was adapted into the live-action movie Hello, Schoolgirl.

    Big Thing is a 2010 South Korean television drama based on manhwa artist Park In-kwon's comic Daemul, and stars Go Hyun-jung as South Korea's first female president. Number one in its timeslot for 11 consecutive weeks, it gained successful ratings due to its cast and story arcs based on topical and controversial themes.

    True Beauty, also known as The Secret of Angel and other names, is a South Korean manhwa written and illustrated by Yaongyi. First published in Naver Webtoon from April 2, 2018, to June 28, 2023, it centers on a young woman who mastered the art of makeup in her teenage years in order to transform herself into a gorgeous "goddess" after being bullied and discriminated because of being perceived as ugly.
