Yao Ming is a Chinese basketball executive and former professional player. He played for the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) and the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Yao was selected to start for the Western Conference in the NBA All-Star Game eight times, and was named to the All-NBA Team five times. During his final season, he was the tallest active player in the NBA, at 2.29 m.
Mark Edward Eaton was an American professional basketball player who spent his entire career (1982–1993) with the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Named an NBA All-Star in 1989, he was twice voted the NBA Defensive Player of the Year and was a five-time member of the NBA All-Defensive Team. Though limited offensively, the 7-foot-4-inch (2.24 m) Eaton became one of the best defensive centers in NBA history. He led the league in blocks four times and holds the NBA single-season records for blocks (456) and blocked shots per game average (5.6), as well as career blocked shots per game (3.5). His No. 53 was retired by the Jazz.
Martin Anthony Lunde, better known by the ring name Arn Anderson, is an American professional wrestling road agent, author, and retired professional wrestler. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as manager of Wardlow. Although he is widely regarded as one of the finest tag team wrestlers in history, he also had a successful singles career and became a four-time NWA/WCW World Television Champion, which he often called his "world title".
Richard Ian CharlesworthAO is an Australian sports coach and former politician. He played first-class cricket for Western Australia and international field hockey for the Kookaburras, winning a silver medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics and winning the World Cup in 1986. Charlesworth served as a federal member of parliament from 1983 to 1993, representing the Labor Party. After leaving politics, he was appointed coach of the Hockeyroos, leading them to Olympic gold medals in 1996 and 2000. Charlesworth later coached the Kookaburras from 2009 to 2014, and has also worked in consulting roles with the New Zealand national cricket team, the Australian Institute of Sport, and the Fremantle Football Club.

Starrcade '88: True Gritt was the sixth annual Starrcade professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced under the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) banner. It was the first Starrcade event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and it took place on December 26, 1988, from the Norfolk Scope in Norfolk, Virginia. Shortly before the event, Ted Turner bought Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP), and the company became WCW.

Ashton James Eaton is a retired American decathlete and two-time Olympic champion, who holds the world record in the indoor heptathlon event. Eaton was the second decathlete to break the 9,000-point barrier in the decathlon, with 9,039 points, a score he bettered on August 29, 2015, when he beat his own world record with a score of 9,045 points, and remains the only person to exceed 9000 points twice. His world record was broken by Frenchman Kevin Mayer on September 16, 2018, with a total of 9,126 points, who became the third man to pass the 9,000-point barrier.
NWA Hollywood Wrestling was a professional wrestling promotion headquartered in Los Angeles, California in the United States that promoted professional wrestling matches throughout Southern California. It was founded in 1958 as the North American Wrestling Alliance, a member of the National Wrestling Alliance. It broke away from the NWA in 1959 and was renamed Worldwide Wrestling Associates in 1961. In 1968, it rejoined the NWA and adopted its final name, remaining a member until closing in 1982.
Marion Elizabeth "Betty" Craig is a Canadian rower. She won a silver medal in the coxless pair event with Patricia Smith at the 1984 Summer Olympics. She also finished fifth in the same event at the 1976 Summer Olympics.
Brianne Theisen-Eaton is a Canadian retired track and field athlete who competed in the heptathlon and women's pentathlon. She won the bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Theisen-Eaton holds the Canadian record for the heptathlon with 6,808 points, as well as the indoor pentathlon with a score of 4768 points. Theisen-Eaton is a heptathlon silver medallist from the 2013 World Championships and 2015 World Championships, as well as a pentathlon silver medalist from the 2014 World Indoor Championships. She is the first and only Canadian woman to podium in the multi-events at the World Championships. Theisen-Eaton won Commonwealth Games gold in the heptathlon at Glasgow 2014 and was the 2016 World Indoor Champion in the pentathlon. She also won a bronze medal as part of the women's 4 x 400 m relay at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto.
Karen Annette Budge is a former World Cup alpine ski racer from the United States. She had three podium finishes and 30 top ten results in World Cup competitions between 1967 and 1972; overall her best result was 15th place in the 1969–70 season. At the 1972 Winter Olympics she placed 14th in the downhill and 23rd in the giant slalom events.
Kathleen Partridge was an Australian field hockey player who competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics and in the 1992 Summer Olympics. Partridge debuted for Australia in 1985 making the Australian field hockey squad in 1982. She has received a Medal of the Order of Australia in 1989 and an Australian Sports Medal in 2000. All up, Partridge has attended five Olympics; two as a field hockey player and three in a coaching capacity as a specialist goalkeeping coach with the Hockeyroos. Partridge was appointed goalkeeping coach to work with Ric Charlesworth in 1995 through to 2000 and in that time the Hockeyroos won many gold medals including Olympic gold medals in Atlanta (1996) and Sydney (2000).
Kent Douglas Vosler from Eaton, Ohio is an American former diver. He was born in Dayton, Ohio. Vosler competed in the 1976 Summer Olympics, where he placed 4th in the men's 10 metre platform. At the 1975 Pan American Games he won a bronze medal in the 10 m platform. At the 1977 Summer Universiade he won a gold medal in the 10 m platform.
Richard Dickson (Ric) Reid is a New Zealand road cyclist who competed for New Zealand in the road race events at the 1994 Commonwealth Games and the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Roger David Smith is a former field hockey player from Australia, who competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics for his native country. He was a member of the Australia men's national field hockey team, best known as the Kookaburras.
