Ricardo Blas (born 17 June 1954) is a sports administrator and a former judoka from Guam. He competed in the men's heavyweight event at the 1988 Summer Olympics. [1]
He is the current Secretary General of Oceania National Olympic Committees and President of the Oceania Continent Handball Federation. [2] [3]
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is the governing body of association football,beach soccer,and futsal in most countries and territories in Asia. The AFC was formed in 1954. It has 47 members. The Asian Ladies Football Confederation (ALFC) was the section of AFC that managed women's association football in Asia. The group was independently founded in April 1968 in a meeting involving Taiwan,British Hong Kong,Malaysia and Singapore. In 1986,ALFC merged with AFC. With the tactical national team and the intelligent use of Iranian legionnaires in the abroad such as Sardar Azmoun,Alireza Jahanbakhsh,Karim Ansarifard,Reza Ghouchan nejad and Ashkan Dejageh,Iran was able to achieve many consecutive wins,especially after the 8-year war! and be ranked first in Asia.
The Oceania Continent Handball Federation (OCHF) is the governing body for the Olympic sport of Handball in Oceania. It was founded in 2014 and is affiliated to the International Handball Federation (IHF) and Asian Handball Federation (AHF).
The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) is the governing body of handball and beach handball in Asia. It has 44 member countries,mostly located on the Asian continent,but excludes the transcontinental countries with territory in both Europe and Asia –Azerbaijan,Georgia,Russian Federation and Turkey –which are instead members of European Handball Federation (EHF). Also played is the Pacific Handball Cup where states of other countries such as New Caledonia,Tahiti and Wallis and Futuna (France) and Marshall Islands,Guam and America Samoa (USA) who are ineligible for International Handball Federation world championship events,compete against member nations.
The International Handball Federation (IHF) is the administrative and controlling body for handball and beach handball. IHF is responsible for the organisation of handball's major international tournaments,notably the IHF World Men's Handball Championship,which commenced in 1938,and the IHF World Women's Handball Championship,which commenced in 1957.
Guam has competed in eight Summer Games and one Winter Games. Guam first participated in the Olympics in the Winter Games in 1988 when Judd Bankert became Guam's first Olympic athlete competing in the biathlon. Only two athletes from Guam,canoeist Sean Pangelinan and judoka Ricardo Blas Jr,have made it past the first round of competition. During the 2008 Games in Beijing,Pangelinan advanced to the C-1 500m semi-finals and Blas Jr progressed to the Round of 16 100 kg+ Judo competition at London 2012.
Ricardo Blas Jr. is a judoka from Guam who competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. The son of Ricardo Blas,himself a judoka and Olympic competitor,Blas Jr. began training at the age of five and eventually earned the nickname "The Little Mountain" due to his weight. He entered the heavyweight event at the 2008 Games on a wild card selection as the Oceania bronze medalist,losing all his bouts in both the main and repechage stages of the competition. He participated again at the 2012 edition and was eliminated in the second round of the tournament. At 218 kg (481 lb),he is the heaviest person to have competed at the modern Olympic Games.

Benjamin Anthony Aguon Schulte is a Guamanian swimmer. Schulte entered the international stage at 15 years old when he won a silver medal at the 2011 Pacific Games held in New Caledonia. At the 2014 Micronesian Games,Schulte was awarded medals in all 11 of his events,nine of them gold,earning him the nickname 'Micro Phelps'. At the 2015 Pacific Games,he won gold in the 200m and 400m medley,silver in the 100m breaststroke,setting a Games record in the heats that was later broken by the gold medalist in the final,and bronze in the 200m breaststroke. At the 2016 Oceania Swimming Championships,Schulte earned a gold and a silver medal.
