Richard "Dick" Farnsworth is an American politician from Maine. Farnsworth,a Democrat,served in the Maine House of Representatives from 1996 to 1998 for District 32,then part of Portland. He chose not to seek re-election in 1998. In 2012,Farnsworth again sought election to the Maine House of Representatives,this time from the renamed District 117,also part of Portland. [1] He won and was sworn in for a second time in December 2012.
Farnsworth earned a B.S. in education from Ohio State University,a Master's in Divinity from Boston University and an Ed.D. from Temple University. [1]
Michael Herman Michaud is an American businessman and politician from Maine. Michaud served as the U.S. representative for Maine's 2nd congressional district from 2003 to 2015. He is a member of the Democratic Party. The primarily rural district comprises nearly 80% of the state by area and includes the cities of Lewiston,Auburn,Bangor,Presque Isle,and Ellsworth. It is the largest Congressional district by area east of the Mississippi River.

Gifford served as a Republican member of the Maine House of Representatives,representing the House District 12 from 2006 until 2014. He served on the House Agriculture,Conservation and Forestry Committee (third-term),and then House District 142 from 2020 until his death on June 12,2022. He was first elected in 2006,was re-elected in 2008,2010 and 2012. He was elected again in 2020 in what was by this time House District 142. He was running for reelection in the redrawn and renumbered House District 28 at the time of his death.

Joseph 'Joe' C. Perry is an American businessperson and politician from Maine. Perry,a Democrat,served in the Maine Senate from District 32,which included his hometown of Bangor and Hermon. He was first elected to the Senate in 2004 after serving from 8 years (1996-2004) in the Maine House of Representatives representing part of Bangor. He defeated incumbent Republican Senator Tom Sawyer by 280 votes. In 2015,Perry won a seat on the Bangor City Council.
Rebecca J. Millett is an American politician from Maine. Millett is a Democratic State Senator from Maine's 29th District,representing South Portland,Cape Elizabeth and part of Scarborough. From 2004 to 2010,Millett served on the Cape Elizabeth School Board. She won a primary for Senate 29 over South Portland Representative Bryan Kaenrath in June 2012 and was first elected to the Maine State Senate the following November after defeating Republican Mike Wallace. The seat was held by Larry Bliss until his mid-term resignation in 2011. He was replaced by Cape Elizabeth resident and State Representative Cynthia Dill,who in turn decided not to seek a full term and instead to pursue the open seat in the United States Senate.

In December 2012,Valentino was named Chair of the Judiciary Committee.
