J. Oliver Macdonald was an American athlete, winner of gold medal in 4 × 400 m relay at the 1924 Summer Olympics.

Kere took part in the men'[s 100 meters and Oliver was an entrant in the men's 800 meters. Neither of the track and field athletes advanced beyond their heats, and Ata placed 16th in the men's lightweight event.

She won a bronze medal as a member of the third-place U.S. team in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay. Individually, she finished sixth in the 100-meter freestyle. McKean won the AAU 100 m freestyle titles in 1934 and 1935.
Richard Edwin "Rich" Saeger is an American former competition swimmer, Olympic gold medalist, and former world record-holder. At the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, Saeger earned a gold medal by swimming for the winning U.S. team in the final of the men's 4×200-meter freestyle relay. The American team of Geoff Gaberino, David Larson, Bruce Hayes and Saeger set a new world record in the Olympic preliminary heat (7:18.87), only for the Americans to break the record again in the event final later on the same day.

Brian Thomas Oliver was an Australian Olympic athlete who specialised in the triple jump, long jump and sprint running. He won the triple jump event at the 1950 British Empire Games and placed 23rd at the 1956 Summer Olympics. Oliver won the national triple jump title in 1953–54 and 1956, and the long jump title in 1953 and 1956. He was ranked #3 in the world in 1950 and #4 in 1953 in the triple jump.

She was chosen an NCAA All-American for outdoor track, indoor track and cross-country (2011). She competed in the 3000 m at the 2014 World Indoor Championships. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, she competed in the 1500 m and the 5000 m.
The men's eight (M8+) competition at the 1984 Summer Olympics took place at Lake Casitas in Ventura County, California, United States. It was held from 31 July to 5 August. There were 7 boats from 7 nations, with each nation limited to a single boat in the event. New Zealand had won the last two world championships, and the other strong team, East Germany, was absent from the event due to the Eastern Bloc boycott. This made New Zealand the strong favourite. But the final was won by Canada, with the United States and Australia the other medallists, and New Zealand coming a disappointing fourth.
