Richfield High School is the only public traditional high school in Richfield, Minnesota, United States. The school serves grades 9-12 for the Richfield Public Schools. It was named to the 2023 AP School Honor Roll, which recognizes schools with AP programs that are delivering results and broadening access for students. [2] Richfield High School was also awarded a place on the "Best Public High Schools 2023-24" list by U.S. News and World Report. [3]

The two organizations associated with high school are the Minnesota State High School League and Minnesota Hockey. Minnesota Hockey, an affiliate of USA Hockey, is the governing body of youth and amateur hockey in Minnesota. Shattuck-St. Mary's is a coeducational Episcopal-affiliated boarding school in the Faribault in the U.S. State of Minnesota. Established in 1858 as an Episcopal mission school and seminary, within a decade the school grew to include Shattuck Military Academy, St. Mary's Hall for girls and later St. James School for younger boys. In 1974, the three schools dropped all military programs and combined as Shattuck-St. Mary's. It is now known for its Centers of Excellence programs in engineering, bioscience, pre-conservatory music, and vocal performance, as well as hockey, soccer, figure skating, and golf. Irondale High School is a public high school in New Brighton, Minnesota, United States. Part of the Mounds View Public Schools district, the school is in a suburban area ten miles north of downtown Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Irondale made headlines in late 2011 when it introduced its Early College program, which began in the 2012–13 school year. The program, run in conjunction with Anoka-Ramsey Community College, allows students to graduate in four years with both a high school diploma and an associate's degree. This program prompted a visit from US Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, who praised Minnesota's efforts to further education.
Ryan Lindgren is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was picked in the second round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins. He was acquired by the Rangers as part of the trade that sent Rick Nash to the Bruins.
South Education Center is a special education and alternative school in the 7400 block of South Penn Avenue in Richfield, Minnesota. It is part of Intermediate District 287. Eleven school districts from Minneapolis and environs send their students to the center. The population served is from pre-Kinder to 21 years of age. The school defines its upper-age limit as "Transition". In 2022 there were 200 students. In the early 2020s, the school served about 80% minority students. Federally, the school is classified as suburban.
