John F. Kennedy High School is one of two public high schools located in Bloomington, Minnesota, United States. Named after former president John F. Kennedy, it was opened in 1965 [3] due to the rapid growth of Bloomington at the time.
The school had been a member of the Lake Conference since the school opened but left the Lake Conference after the 2009–10 school year to become part of the new South Suburban Conference. In 2014, Kennedy joined the new Metro West Conference. In 2022, Kennedy joined the Tri-Metro Conference.

Kennedy has two competitive show choirs, the mixed-gender "Rhythm in Gold", and the intermediate treble group "East Side Rhythm", which debuted during the 2022 competitive season under the name "Blue and Gold Velvet". [4] The program also hosts an annual competition. [5] It also has a large instrumental music department, divided into a band section and an orchestra. [6]

Concordia College is a private liberal arts college in Moorhead, Minnesota. Peter Hans Docter is an American filmmaker and animator, who has served as chief creative officer (CCO) of Pixar since 2018. He has directed the company's animated films Monsters, Inc. (2001), Up (2009), Inside Out (2015), and Soul (2020). From his nine Academy Award nominations, he is a record-three time recipient of Best Animated Feature for Up, Inside Out and Soul. Docter has also won six Annie Awards from nine nominations, a BAFTA Children's Film Award and a Hochi Film Award. He describes himself as a "geeky kid from Minnesota who likes to draw cartoons".
Kennedy High School is a public high school located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Kennedy was founded in 1967. The building was dedicated by Senator Edward M. Kennedy, younger brother of the school's namesake President John F. Kennedy. The school's athletic teams are known as the Cougars. It is a part of the Cedar Rapids Community School District.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers wrestling program is an intercollegiate varsity sport at the University of Minnesota. They are a member of the Big Ten Conference and NCAA. Wrestling began at Minnesota in 1910, but the first formal dual meet was not until 1921 when coach Frank Gilman led the team to a victory over Wisconsin. The Gophers have won the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships team title three times, in 2001, 2002, and 2007.

Melissa Halvorson Wiklund is a Minnesota politician and member of the Minnesota Senate. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), she represents District 51 in the southern Twin Cities metropolitan area, which includes the cities of Bloomington and Richfield. Wiklund's legislative priorities include education, health care, and job creation.

John Morgan is an American former wrestler. He competed in the men's Greco-Roman 82 kg at the 1988 Olympics, placing 7th. He was a four-time Greco-Roman national champion (1988-1991), member of the U.S. World Team (1989-1991), and a four-time NCAA Division II All-American. He was also a 1981 Minnesota State High School wrestling champion at 155 pounds.
Marty Morgan is a former American wrestler. He was the 1991 NCAA National Champion and was an overall 4-time All-American in college.
Gordy Morgan is an American former wrestler. He wrestled in the 74 kg weight class at the 1996 Olympics, finishing ninth, and was a 1990 and 1993–95 world team member. He was a 3-time National Greco-Roman champion. In NCAA competition, he was the 1989 Big Ten champion in the 158 pound class and an NCAA All-American. He was also a 1985 Minnesota State High School champion in the 155 pound class.
