Marty Morgan (born August 12, 1966) is a former American wrestler. He was the 1991 NCAA National Champion (177 pounds; 39-0 record for season, the first wrestler ever in U of MN history to finish undefeated in his career) and a 3-time All-American in college. [1] [2]
Morgan wrestled at Kennedy High School in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Morgan first wrestled for one year at North Dakota State University, where he was a NCAA Division II National Champion as a freshman. [1] Morgan then finished his collegiate career at the University of Minnesota where he was an undefeated NCAA Division I National Champion as a senior. [3]
After college, Morgan won 2 US Open National Greco Titles and represented the US on the World Team in 1993 and 1995. He placed 2nd at the 1996 US Olympic Trials, losing in overtime to Dan Henderson. [4]
In 2001, the Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association inducted Morgan into the Dave Bartelma Hall of Fame. [5] In 2018, Morgan was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. [6]
Cael Norman Sanderson is an American former folkstyle and freestyle wrestler who is the current head coach of Penn State University's wrestling team. As a wrestler, he won an Olympic Gold medal and was undefeated in four years of college wrestling at Iowa State University (ISU) (159–0), becoming a four-time NCAA Division I champion (1999–2002). He is the only wrestler in NCAA Division I history to go undefeated in official matches with more than 100 wins. Sports Illustrated named his college career as the second most impressive college sports feat behind the setting of four world records by Jesse Owens in a single hour at the 1935 Big Ten track and field conference championship meet.
David Lesley Schultz was an American Olympic and world champion freestyle wrestler, a seven-time World and Olympic medalist. He coached individuals and teams at the college level and also privately.

Neal LaMoy Broten is an American former professional ice hockey player. Jeffrey Carl "Jeff" Blatnick was an American super heavyweight Greco-Roman wrestler and sports commentator. He won NCAA Division II heavyweight wrestling championships in 1978 and 1979 and won the Olympic gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in 1984 after battling back from cancer. During his wrestling days, he and Dan Severn were in the same U.S. National Wrestling Team.
Matthew James Lindland, also known as The Law, is an American retired mixed martial artist, Olympic wrestler, speaker, actor, coach, entrepreneur and politician. He won the Oregon Republican Party's nomination for the Oregon House of Representatives, District 52 seat on May 20, 2008. He also started an apparel company named Dirty Boxer. In mixed martial arts, Lindland competed primarily in the Middleweight division for the UFC, Strikeforce. Affliction, the IFL, Cage Rage, the WFA, and BodogFIGHT.
The Minnesota Golden Gophers are a Division I college wrestling team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They are a member of the Big Ten Conference and NCAA. Wrestling began at the University of Minnesota in 1910, but the first formal dual meet was not until 1921 when coach Frank Gilman led the team to a victory over Wisconsin. The Gophers have won the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships team title three times, in 2001, 2002, and 2007.
Cole Konrad is an American retired mixed martial arts fighter. Konrad won a gold medal at the 2005 Pan-American Championships. He won the NCAA wrestling championships in 2006 and 2007 at 285 pounds and finished third at the 2006 World University Championships at 120 kilograms. Yojiro Uetake is a Japanese wrestler and two-time Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling. He is considered the greatest wrestler in the history of Oklahoma State University, being the only Cowboy wrestler to have gone undefeated for the entirety of his college career, winning three NCAA Championships. Uetake was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma as a Distinguished Member in 1980. In 2005, he was inducted into the FILA Hall of Fame. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.
The Iowa State Cyclones wrestling team represents Iowa State University (ISU) and competes in the Big 12 Conference of NCAA Division I. The Cyclones are 8 time National Champions, 17 time National Runners-Up, and have 45 Top 4 "Trophy" Finishes. The team is coached by Kevin Dresser. The Cyclones host their home meets at Hilton Coliseum on Iowa State's campus. Iowa State became the second collegiate wrestling program to reach 1,100 dual wins on January 23, 2022.

He was also a 1981 Minnesota State High School wrestling champion at 155 pounds.
Gordy Morgan is an American wrestler. He wrestled in the 74kg weight class at the 1996 Olympics, finishing ninth, and was a 1990 and 1993–95 world team member. He was a 3-time National Greco-Roman champion. In NCAA competition, he was the 1989 Big Ten champion in the 158 pound class and an NCAA All-American. He was also a 1985 Minnesota State High School champion in the 155 pound class.

He is currently signed to WWE, where he was appointed to the Raw brand under his real name, but has yet to have his debut match. He is the second Olympic wrestling gold medalist to be signed by the company, after Kurt Angle.
