The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a professional American football team based in Tampa, Florida. The Buccaneers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league's National Football Conference (NFC) South division. The club joined the NFL in 1976 as an expansion team, along with the Seattle Seahawks, and played its first season in the American Football Conference (AFC) West division. Prior to the 1977 season, Tampa Bay switched conferences and divisions with Seattle, becoming a member of the NFC Central division. The Seahawks eventually rejoined the NFC in 2002, leaving the Buccaneers as the only NFL team not to play in their original conference. As a result of the league's realignment prior to the 2002 season, the Buccaneers joined three former NFC West teams to form the NFC South. Mark Robert Rypien is a Canadian-American former professional football player who was a quarterback for 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Washington State Cougars and was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round of the 1986 NFL Draft. He was the first Canadian-born quarterback to both start in the NFL and be named Super Bowl MVP, doing so in Super Bowl XXVI with the Redskins. He also played for several other NFL teams. His nephew Brett plays in the NFL for the Chicago Bears.

Patrick Mannelly is an American former football long snapper who played for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Duke Blue Devils and was selected by Chicago in the sixth round of the 1998 NFL Draft. Mannelly played with the Bears for 16 years before retiring in 2014. He is considered one of the top long snappers in modern-day football, a title given to him by sports columnist Rick Gosselin and special teams NFL agent Kevin Gold.
Rick Steven Dennison is an American football coach and former linebacker who is currently the senior offensive assistant for the New Orleans Saints. He was the offensive line coach and run game coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL) from 2019-2020. Eber Sampson was an American football player. He played professional football in the National Football League (NFL) as a fullback and halfback for the Minneapolis Marines. He appeared in 14 NFL games, 13 as a starter, from 1921 to 1923. He scored three NFL touchdowns. Two of his touchdowns were scored in a single game, a 28–0 victory over the Columbus Panhandles.
Garrett Antonio Wilson is an American football wide receiver for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ohio State and was drafted 10th overall by the Jets in the 2022 NFL Draft. Wilson was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
