Rise and Fall is the debut full-length album by Tim Halperin, released on September 27, 2011. [1] It reached No. 1 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Chart, [2] and debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. [3]
Halperin had started work on the album over a year earlier, only to put the release date on hold to fulfill his Idol contract. [4] He spent much of 2010 working on the recordings with producer Jordan Critz (The Fray, Third Eye Blind and Lifehouse). [4] According to Halperin, "With this record, because it's my first full-length album, I wanted to make sure that it was the most me. That it had songs on it that I felt like best represented who I am, not only as a songwriter, but as a person." [1]
Rise and Fall was released on September 27, 2011. [1] It rose to No. 1 on the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Chart, [2] and held that position for 4 days. [3] Rise and Fall also debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. [3] [5] The CD underwent a second official release on December 6, 2011. [6] The first track on the album, "All You Got," was written for Kidd's Kids, with all proceeds going to the organization. [4]
His first single for Rise and Fall and one of the first tracks recorded for the album, [1] "The Last Song," as of September 26, 2011 was in the top ten on the Singer-Songwriters Songs chart on iTunes. [1]
For the music video of "The Last Song" fans donated a budget of $8,000. According to a description of the scenes, "Halperin crawls through his piano, then wanders through a field, drives an old convertible down a suburban road, wanders across a movie set, finds himself at a birthday party and plunges underwater. He eventually winds up in a forest at night, wearing a white suit and coattails as people dance underneath bright lights hanging from trees." [7]

Colbie Marie Caillat is an American singer-songwriter. Caillat rose to fame through social networking website Myspace. At that time, she was the number one unsigned artist of her genre. After signing with Universal Republic Records, she released her debut album, Coco, in July 2007. The album included the hit singles "Bubbly" and "Realize", and has sold 2,060,000 copies in the US, and is certified 2x Platinum. In 2008 she recorded a duet with Jason Mraz, "Lucky", which won a Grammy Award. In August 2009 she released Breakthrough, her second album, which became her first album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200. It has been certified gold by the RIAA. Breakthrough was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2010 Grammy Awards. She was also part of the group that won Album of the Year at the 2010 Grammy Awards for her background vocals and writing on Taylor Swift's Fearless album. In July 2011 she released her third studio album, All of You. In October 2012 she released her first Christmas album, Christmas in the Sand. Starting in 2018 she was a member of the country music group Gone West. On August 12, 2020, she announced on Instagram the band was breaking up.
Travis Garland is an American singer and dancer. He is best known as the former lead singer of the boy band NLT which consisted of Kevin McHale, Justin Joseph "JJ" Thorne and V Sevani. They were discovered by Chris Stokes and signed to his TUG Entertainment-label in 2006. In May 2009, Garland confirmed on his Myspace page that the group had split. Garland is now a solo artist.
Cassadee Blake Pope is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. Pope was the lead vocalist of the rock band Hey Monday, with whom she released two studio albums and three EPs. Pope embarked on a solo career in early 2012, and released the EP Cassadee Pope in May 2012. She took part in the third season of The Voice and became the first female winner on December 18, 2012. Her debut solo country album, Frame by Frame, was released on October 8, 2013 to a top 10 Billboard 200 charting. It debuted at No. 1 on Top Country Albums, with 43,000 copies sold in its first week.
Paul McDonald is an American singer-songwriter from Huntsville, Alabama, who as of 2011, resides in Nashville, Tennessee. McDonald placed 8th on the tenth season of American Idol and since 2005, he has been the lead singer of the band Hightide Blues, renamed The Grand Magnolias in 2010.
Tim Halperin is an American singer-songwriter. A piano player and vocalist, in 2007 he began performing and recording, and in 2010 his track "We Fight Back" became the theme song for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. He was a Top 24 American Idol contestant for season 10, and afterwards released his 2011 debut album, Rise and Fall, which peaked at no. 14 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. The EP Under that Christmas Spell followed in 2012, and like all his albums since Rise and Fall was released on 24 Hour Distribution. Halperin's second album Heart Tells Your Head was released in February 2014 and peaked at No. 21 on the Heatseekers chart.
"In the Dark" is a song performed by American singer Dev. It was written by Dev alongside The Cataracs, who produced it for Dev's debut studio album, The Night the Sun Came Up (2011). The song was released as the album's second single on April 25, 2011, through Universal Motown. "In the Dark" came about when Dev wanted to make a sexy song to show that she is a grown woman. She collaborated with American rapper Flo Rida on an official remix as she believed she would enjoy the remix when hearing it on the radio. "In the Dark" is a dance-pop song with a saxophone hook and influences of Eurodance, Latin and jazz music. The lyrics emphasize sex drives and letting the sensation of touch fully take over from sight.
"This City" is a song by American musician Patrick Stump from his debut solo album Soul Punk (2011), released on Island Records. A remix featuring rapper Lupe Fiasco was released as the album's first single. After finishing his album, Stump decided to re-write Soul Punk after coming up with "This City".
Daniel John Bashta is an American contemporary Christian singer and songwriter raised in Reserve, Louisiana. On September 6, 2011, Bashta released the album entitled The Sounds of Daniel Bashta, his first full-length studio album with Integrity Music record label. Nocturnal is the fourth studio album and second international album by Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna. It was released on 29 October 2013 by Verve Records. English singer Charli XCX has released five studio albums, four mixtapes, three extended plays, one live album, one compilation album, 46 singles, and 13 promotional singles. In 2007, XCX began recording her debut album on a loan granted by her parents. Titled 14, after her age at the time, it received only a restricted public release. Bleta Rexha, known professionally as Bebe Rexha, is an American singer and songwriter. After signing with Warner Bros. Records in 2013, Rexha received songwriting credits on Eminem's single "The Monster" and has also contributed songwriting to songs recorded by Shinee, Selena Gomez, and Nick Jonas. Rexha released her debut extended play in 2015, I Don't Wanna Grow Up, which saw the moderate commercial success of the singles "I Can't Stop Drinking About You" and "I'm Gonna Show You Crazy".
Pia Mia Perez is a Guamanian singer, songwriter, model and actress. She began her career by posting videos of herself singing on the video sharing site YouTube, and went on to star in commercials and music videos. Pia Mia signed a recording contract with Interscope Records in 2013, subsequently releasing her debut extended play, The Gift, and a series of singles, including "Do It Again" and "Touch". In 2016, she was featured on will.i.am's single "Boys & Girls" which reached the top 40 in the UK Singles Chart. In 2017, The Gift 2 EP was independently released as the follow up to previous EP The Gift. Pia would later leave Interscope Records and become an independent artist in late 2017, creating her own label Cherry Pie Records, before signing a record deal with Republic Records and Electric Feel Entertainment in 2020. Pia Mia released the singles "Princess" and "Hot" in May and July 2020 respectively, preceding her upcoming debut studio album.

Childers released his surprise fourth and most recent LP, Long Violent History, via his own Hickman Holler Records in September 2020.
