Gundala is a 2019 Indonesian neo-noir superhero film based on the comics character Gundala, created by Harya Suraminata (Hasmi) in 1969. The film was co-produced by Screenplay Films and Bumilangit Studios, and distributed by Legacy Pictures. It is the first installment in the Bumilangit Cinematic Universe (BCU). The film is directed and written by Joko Anwar, and stars Abimana Aryasatya, alongside Tara Basro, Bront Palarae, Ario Bayu, Cecep Arif Rahman, Rio Dewanto, and Muzakki Ramdhan. Mereka Bilang, Saya Monyet! is a 2008 Indonesian film directed by Djenar Maesa Ayu. Starring Titi Rajo Bintang, Henidar Amroe, and Ray Sahetapi, it tells the life story of Adjeng, who was sexually abused as a child by her mother's boyfriend. Filmed over 18 days after several years of development, the film adapted two of Ayu's short stories from her debut anthology of the same name. Owing to its low budget of Rp 620 million, its cast and crew were mostly amateurs and students, although several established actors appeared at reduced rates.

He is best known for starring in the films Shackled (2012), 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa (2013), Haji Backpacker (2014), and in the second highest-grossing Indonesian film of all time, Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss! Part 1 (2016). He has received multiple awards and nominations such as Indonesian Movie Awards, Indonesian Film Festival, and Indonesian Box Office Movie Awards.
Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi is an Indonesian diplomat who formerly served as the Minister for Foreign Affairs in the Cabinet of Joko Widodo between 2014 and 2024. She is the first female minister appointed to the post. She was previously the Indonesian Ambassador to the Netherlands from 2012 to 2014, as well as Ambassador to Iceland and Norway from 2005 to 2008.

Volume 1 of the series began with Gundala in 2019 and will conclude with the release of a team-up film Patriot.

13 Bombs in Jakarta is an Indonesian espionage action film released in 2023, directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko. The film, produced by Visinema Pictures, stars Chicco Kurniawan, Ardhito Pramono, and Lutesha. It premiered in Indonesian cinemas on December 28, 2023 and in Malaysia on February 1, 2024.
