Ritz Ann Riggie Villafuerte Alzul-Guy (born January 11, 1994), known professionally as Ritz Azul, is a Filipino actress. She starred in various television series in TV5 and ABS-CBN such as Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak (2011), Misibis Bay (2013), The Promise of Forever (2017), and Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Los Bastardos (2018).

Early life and education

Ritz Ann Riggie Alzul was born on January 11, 1994 in Sta. Rita, Pampanga, but eventually moved to Quezon City. She served as the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairwoman in her native town of Dila Dila in Santa Rita, Pampanga from 2010 to 2013. [2]

She took up Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at the Lyceum of the Philippines University, but took a break from her studies to concentrate on her showbiz career. [2] [3]

Career

Azul joined TV5's talent search program Star Factor in 2010, where she ended up being the 4th Final Star. [1] [2] She was introduced as one of TV5's Primetime Princesses, along with Danita Paner, Arci Muñoz, Jasmine Curtis and Eula Caballero. She made her acting debut in the TV series Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak , where she played one of the lead characters. In 2013, she starred in the miniseries Misibis Bay , which is set in a resort in Bicol of the same name.

In 2016, she inked a two-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN. Her first project with the network was a guest appearance in the hit primetime series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano . The following year, she starred in her first lead role with ABS-CBN in the drama series The Promise of Forever opposite Paulo Avelino and Ejay Falcon. [4] In 2018, she joined the ensemble cast of the afternoon series Los Bastardos where she portrayed the love interest of Joseph Marco, one of the series' male leads.

Personal life

Azul married her first and only boyfriend, Allan Guy on November 20, 2021 in an intimate ceremony in Baguio City. [5] Weeks after, the couple tied the knot for the second time on December 11 in a beach wedding in Palawan, which was said to be their dream wedding destination.
