Rudolph Tomjanovich Jr. is an American former professional basketball player and coach. He won two NBA Championships with the Houston Rockets and coached Team USA to the gold medal in men's basketball at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
Thomas Michael Izzo ; born January 30, 1955) is an American college basketball coach who has been the head coach at Michigan State University since 1995. On April 4, 2016, Izzo was elected to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
Benjamin Oosterbaan was an American football end and head coach for the University of Michigan. He was a three-time All-American college football player, a two-time All-American basketball player, and an All-Big Ten Conference baseball player for the Michigan Wolverines. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest football players in Michigan history. He was selected by Sports Illustrated as the fourth greatest athlete in the history of the U.S. state of Michigan in 2003, and one of the eleven greatest college football players of the first century of the game. As a head coach Oosterbaan won a national championship with the 1948 Michigan Wolverines football team, by way of the Associated Press.
Robert Riley Wallace is an American retired basketball coach. He spent most of his career coaching college basketball, and was the head coach of the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors men's team from 1987 through 2007.
Ivan B. "Ivy" Williamson was a player and coach of American football and basketball, and a college athletics administrator. He played college football and basketball at the University of Michigan from 1930 to 1932 and was captain of the national champion 1932 Michigan football team. He was an assistant football coach at Yale University and the head football coach at Lafayette College (1947–1948) and the University of Wisconsin–Madison (1949–1955). He served as the athletic director at Wisconsin from 1955 to 1969.
Peter R. Elliott was an American football player and coach. Elliott served as the head football coach at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (1956), the University of California, Berkeley (1957–1959), the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1960–1966), and the University of Miami (1973–1974), compiling a career college football record of 56–72–11. From 1979 to 1996, Elliott served as executive director of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
William D. Carmody is a retired American men's college basketball coach, formerly the head coach at the College of the Holy Cross. He was the head coach of the Wildcats men's basketball team at Northwestern University from 2000 through 2013. From 1996 through 2000, Carmody was the head coach at Princeton University.
Homer Hill Norton was an American football, basketball, and baseball player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Centenary College of Louisiana from 1919 to 1921 and 1926 to 1933 and at Texas A&M University from 1934 to 1947, compiling a career college football record of 143–75–18. His 1939 Texas A&M team went 11–0, beating Tulane in the Sugar Bowl, and was named 1939 National Football Champions national champion. Norton's record at Texas A&M was 82–53–9, giving him the second most wins of any coach in Texas A&M Aggies football history. He was fired in 1947 when his team went 3–6–1 and lost to Texas for the eighth straight year. Norton was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1971.
Jack Avon Harbaugh is an American football coach and former player. He served as the head football coach at Western Michigan University from 1982 to 1986 and Western Kentucky University from 1989 to 2002, compiling a career college football head coaching record of 116–95–3. In his final year at Western Kentucky, he led the 2002 Hilltoppers to an NCAA Division I-AA Football Championship title. In 2023, Harbaugh came out of retirement to become assistant head coach of the Michigan Wolverines under his son Jim and helped lead the team to win the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship.
William Joseph Kennedy Jr. is an American basketball coach who last served as an assistant coach for Wichita State University men's basketball team. Previously, Kennedy was the head coach of the Texas A&M University men's basketball team. He took over the position vacated by Mark Turgeon in May 2011. Prior to this, he held the same position at Murray State University for five seasons. Kennedy previously held the same position at Centenary and Southeastern Louisiana. He has served 13 seasons as a collegiate head coach and 13 as an assistant.
Robert A. Lanier is an American college basketball coach who currently serves as the head coach for the Rice Owls. Previously, he was the head coach at Southern Methodist University. He also served as the head coach at Georgia State from 2019 to 2022 and Siena from 2001 to 2005.
The Centenary Gentlemen basketball team represents Centenary College, located in Shreveport, Louisiana, in NCAA Division III men's basketball competition. The "Gentlemen" nickname is exclusive to men's athletes and teams; Ladies is used for women's teams and athletes. The team is a member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, which is part of the NCAA Division III. From 1960 until 2011, Centenary competed at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Trans America Athletic Conference and most recently the Summit League before re-classifying to Division III. Centenary did not make an appearance in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in its over 50 years at the D-I level.

He was a former head coach at Grand Valley State University (1996–97) and Central Michigan University (1997–2006). Elton James Rynearson Sr. was an American athlete, coach, and college athletics administrator. He was affiliated with Eastern Michigan University for most of his life, beginning his association with the school as a student in 1910 and retiring as the school's athletic director in 1963.

He served as the third head football coach at Michigan Agricultural College, now known as Michigan State University, from 1901 to 1902, compiling a record of 7–9–1. Bemies was also the second head basketball coach at Michigan Agricultural from 1901 to 1903, tallying a mark of 11–0, and the head coach of Michigan Agricultural's baseball team from 1902 to 1903, where his record was 9–15–1.

The 1970 Western Michigan Broncos football team represented Western Michigan University in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) during the 1970 NCAA University Division football season. In their seventh season under head coach Bill Doolittle, the Broncos compiled a 7–3 record, finished in fourth place in the MAC, and outscored their opponents, 277 to 132. The team played its home games at Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
