Captain Robert Alexander (24 September 1910 –19 July 1943) was an Irish rugby union and cricket player who represented Ireland at both sports during the 1930s. He also played rugby for both the British Lions and the Barbarians. Alexander,an RUC officer,was killed in action during the Second World War while serving with the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. Between 1936 and 1939 Alexander made 11 appearances and scored 1 try for Ireland. He made his debut in a 6–3 win against England on 8 February 1936 at Lansdowne Road. On 27 February 1937,again at Lansdowne,he scored his one try for Ireland in an 11–4 win against Scotland. He made his last appearance for Ireland on 11 March 1939 in a 7–0 defeat against Wales at Ravenhill. [3] [4] [5]
In 1938 Alexander,together with fellow Ireland international Paddy Mayne,was also a member of the British Lions squad that went on a tour of South Africa. [1] [6]
As a cricketer,Alexander was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He played once for Ireland in a first-class match against Scotland on 18 June 1932 [7] [8] [9]
Christopher Robert Andrew is a former English rugby union player who as a fly-half played 71 Tests for England between 1985 and 1997. Since his retirement from playing he has hold administration roles in both rugby and cricket. He was formerly the Director of Rugby of Newcastle Falcons and Professional Rugby Director at the RFU. He was Chief Executive of Sussex County Cricket Club before joining the England and Wales Cricket Board in 2024 as Managing Director of the professional game.
Watsonian Football Club is a rugby union club based in Edinburgh and part of the Scottish Rugby Union. The club is connected with George Watson's College as a club for former pupils,and changed its policy in the 1980s to be a fully open club,welcoming players of all abilities regardless of whether they attended the school or not. Richard Averill Lloyd was an Irish cricketer and rugby union player. At cricket,he was a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler who played two first-class matches for the Ireland cricket team,also playing for Lancashire. In rugby union,he was a fly-half who played 19 times for the Ireland national rugby union team,scoring 72 points,and was regarded as one of the best goal-kickers of his time. He is regarded by his school,Portora Royal School,as one of their most famous pupils,alongside Samuel Beckett and Oscar Wilde.
Noel Arthur Augustine Murphy is a former Irish rugby union player who represented Munster,Ireland,the British Lions and the Barbarians as a flanker. He also played club rugby for both Cork Constitution and Garryowen. Since retiring as a player,Murphy has remained involved in rugby union,both as a coach and administrator.

Ronald Winston Boon was an international rugby union wing for Wales who played club rugby for Cardiff. Boon possessed a tremendous self-confidence in his own ability and this was reflected in his nickname Cocky. Boon was a quick runner,representing Wales at the 220-yard sprint,and was an excellent drop kicker. He is best known in Welsh rugby as the man who scored all seven points in 1933 against England to end the 'Twickenham bogey',and along with Jack Morley is seen as one of the greatest Welsh wings since the country's first Golden Era of rugby.

Gerald "Gerry" Percy Doran also known as Blucher Doran,was an Irish international rugby union wing who played club rugby for Lansdowne. Doran played international rugby for Ireland and in 1899 he was selected for the British Isles team on its tour of Australia. Doran's older brother Eddie and younger brother,Bertie,also played international rugby for Ireland.
