Robert Daly (born 26 January 1978) is an Irish sprinter who specializes in the 400 metres.
Daly won the bronze medal in 4 x 400 metres relay at the 2004 World Indoor Championships, together with teammates Gary Ryan, David Gillick and David McCarthy.
His personal best time is 45.98 seconds, was achieved in July 2004 in Dublin.

The Subway 400 was the second race of the NASCAR Winston Cup Series season until 2004, held a week after the Daytona 500. This 400-mile (644 km) annual race was sponsored by Subway and was held at North Carolina Speedway since 1966. From 1966 to 1995, the race distance was 500 miles (805-km) which was shortened to 400 miles starting from the 1996 season.
Irena Szewińska was a Polish sprinter who was one of the world's foremost track athletes for nearly two decades, in multiple events. She is the only athlete in history, male or female, to have held the world record in the 100 m, the 200 m and the 400 m.

Timothy David Benjamin is a former professional athlete from Wales. He specialised in the 400 metres, and in his teens was coached by Jock Anderson, in the same training group as Christian Malcolm. He then moved to live in Slough to be coached by Tony Lester; Marlon Devonish amongst others was one of his training partners.
Paul ("Junior") McKee is an Irish sprint athlete. He has represented Ireland many times in international competition, including being a member of the Irish 4 x 400 metres relay team at the Sydney Olympics. He has also represented Northern Ireland, at the Commonwealth Games.
David Gillick is an Irish international track and field athlete. He began his education in Our Lady's Boys School and attended St Benildus College secondary school in Kilmacud. He studied at Dublin Institute of Technology before moving to Loughborough University in the United Kingdom to train as a full-time athlete with coach Nick Dakin. Gillick specialises in the 400 metres and he won the European Indoor Championship in 2005 and 2007, as well as the Irish National Outdoor Championship in 2006 and 2007. He set the Irish Indoor record of 45.52 seconds in the 2007 final. The time also beat the Irish outdoor record of 45.58 and was within the Olympic 'A' qualifying standard for the 2008 Games. On 4 July 2009 he ran 44.77 seconds in a race in Madrid to set a new national record. He is also the 2009 Irish national 200 m champion.
David Robert Carry is a Scottish former competition swimmer who represented Great Britain in the Olympics, FINA world championships and the European championships, and Scotland in the Commonwealth Games. He competed internationally in freestyle and medley swimming events. He is the winner of seven medals in major international championships. He is of Scottish-Faroese ancestry.
Euan Dale is a Scottish competitive swimmer who has represented Great Britain in the Olympics and Scotland in the Commonwealth Games. At the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, he was a member of the second-place Scottish men's team in the 4×200-metre freestyle relay, for which he won a silver medal. Individually, Dale won a silver in the men's 400-metre individual medley.
David McCarthy is an Irish medal-winning sprinter who specialized in the 400 metres and began racing over 800 metres in 2007.

Andretti Bain is a Bahamian sprinter who specializes in the 400 metres. He was born in Nassau.
Gary Ryan is a former Irish sprinter who specialised in the 200 metres. On retirement he worked for the Irish athletics association as Director of Coaching before leaving in January 2009 for a position with the National University of Ireland, Galway.
The Coke Zero Sugar 400 is an annual NASCAR Cup Series stock car race at Daytona International Speedway. First held in 1959, the event consists of 160 laps, 400-mile (640 km), and is the second of two major stock car events held at Daytona on the Cup Series circuit, the other being the Daytona 500. From its inception in 1959 through 2019, it was traditionally held on or around the United States' Independence Day. In 1998, it became the first stock car race at Daytona to be held at night under-the-lights. In 2020, the race was moved to late August and currently serves as the final race of the Cup Series regular season.
Yates Racing was an American stock car racing team that competed in NASCAR through the 2009 season, after which it merged into Richard Petty Motorsports. Previously known as Robert Yates Racing, the team was owned by Doug Yates, who has officially owned the team since his father Robert's retirement on December 1, 2007. The Yates family owned the team since purchasing it from Harry Ranier and J. T. Lundy in October 1988.
Joanne Amy Jackson is an English freestyle swimmer. She is the sister of retired Olympic swimmer Nicola Jackson. She was born in Northallerton and went to Richmond School, North Yorkshire.

The 1996 Brickyard 400, the 3rd running of the event, was a NASCAR Winston Cup Series race held on August 3, 1996, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana. The race was the nineteenth of the 1996 NASCAR Winston Cup Series season. Jeff Gordon of Hendrick Motorsports won the pole position with a speed of 176.419 miles per hour (283.919 km/h), while Robert Yates Racing's Dale Jarrett won the race.
A subterranean waterfall or underground waterfall is a waterfall located underground, usually in a cave or mine. The highest known subterranean waterfall is in Vrtoglavica Cave in Slovenia, and is at least 400 metres (1,300 ft). Renowned examples include Ruby Falls, 44 metres (144 ft) high, in Lookout Mountain Caverns, a show cave in Tennessee and Gaping Gill in the Yorkshire Dales, UK with a fall of 98 metres.
Melbourne Dale Schofield was an American hurdler. He competed in the men's 400 metres hurdles at the 1936 Summer Olympics.
