Robert A. LaClair (born July 21,1959) is an American politician from Barre Town,Vermont. A Republican. He served in the Vermont House of Representatives from 2015 to 2023. [1]
Barre is a town in Washington County,Vermont,United States. The population was 7,923 at the 2020 census,making it the 3rd largest municipality in Washington County and the 16th largest municipality in Vermont. Popularly referred to as "Barre Town",the town of Barre almost completely surrounds "Barre City",which is a separate municipality. The original town now known as Barre was first chartered in 1780 as the Town of Wildersburgh. In 1793 the name Wildersburgh was unpopular with the inhabitants and the name of the town was changed to Barre. In 1895 the City of Barre was incorporated and separated from the town of Barre,and both continue to exist as separate municipalities.
Vermont Technical College was a public technical college in Vermont. Its main residential campuses were located in Randolph Center and Williston. In addition,there were regional campuses distance sites,and nursing campuses in locations throughout the state.
John Clark LeClair is an American former professional ice hockey player. He played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Montreal Canadiens,Philadelphia Flyers,and Pittsburgh Penguins from 1991 to 2006. With the Flyers,LeClair became the first American-born player to score 50 goals in three consecutive NHL seasons while playing on the Legion of Doom line with Eric Lindros and Mikael Renberg. LeClair was a member of the Montreal Canadiens' Stanley Cup winning team in 1993.

Vermont voters elected all 150 state representatives from 109 districts,with each district electing between one and two representatives. State representatives served two-year terms. A primary election was held on August 9,2022,and it determined which candidates appear on the November 8 general election ballot. All the members elected would serve in the Vermont General Assembly. This election was the first to use new districts adopted by the Vermont General Assembly to allocate for population changes across the state after the 2020 census.
