Robert M. "Bob" Merrick (born January 18, 1971) is an American competitive sailor and Olympic silver medalist.

He won a silver medal in the 470 class at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, along with his partner Paul Foerster. Merrick was born in New York City, New York. [1]

Robert Clark "Bob" Young was an American athlete who competed mainly in the 400 metres. He competed for the United States in the 1936 Summer Olympics held in Berlin, Germany in the 4×400 metre relay where he won the silver medal with his teammates Harold Cagle, Edward O’Brien and Alfred Fitch. Young was the youngest member of the team. In the collegiate arena Young competed for UCLA. He was born and died in Bakersfield, California.

Vivian Jepkemoi Cheruiyot is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specialises in track and cross country running. She represented Kenya at the Summer Olympics in 2000, 2008, 2012, and 2016, winning a silver medal at the 5000 m and bronze medal at the 10000 m at the 2012 Olympics, silver medal at the 10000 m and gold medal at the 5000 m at the 2016 Olympics, setting the new Olympic record in 5000 m event. He won a complete set of medals at the FIBT World Championships with a gold in four-man (1977), a silver in two-man (1978, and a bronze in four-man. He also took a silver in the European Championships in 1978 in the four-man event. Bethge also competed at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, finishing fourth in the four-man event and seventh in the two-man event.
