Robert Zagunis (born October 1, 1953) is an American rower. He competed in the men's coxed four event at the 1976 Summer Olympics. [1] Zagunis is of Lithuanian descent. [2] [3] [4]

The Lithuanian Activist Front or LAF was a short-lived, fascist underground resistance organization established in 1940 after Lithuania was incorporated by the Soviet Union. The goal of the organization was to liberate Lithuania and re-establish its independence. It planned and executed the June Uprising and established the short-lived Provisional Government of Lithuania. The Government self-disbanded and LAF was banned by Nazi authorities in September 1941. LAF remains controversial due to its anti-Semitic and anti-Polish positions.

Zadneprovskis won the gold medal in the Modern Pentathlon World Championships in the year of 2000 and 2004. He also earned the bronze medal at the Modern Pentathlon World Championships 2006 in Guatemala. In 2010 he retired from sport due to health problems.

Pavel Suškov is a Lithuanian former swimmer, who specialized in backstroke events. She represented her nation Lithuania in two editions of the Olympic Games, and also set her own personal best of 2:31:30 in the women's division at the 2002 Frankfurt Marathon in Frankfurt, Germany. Before turning her sights to marathon in 2002, Juodeskiene ran a national record of 15:28.66 in the women's 5000 metres at the IAAF Permit Meet in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium that guaranteed her a spot on the Lithuanian team for the 2000 Summer Olympics.
