Roberta Pelosi (born 11 December 1960, in Rome) is an Italian sport shooter. [3] She has been selected to compete for Italy at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has established a career tally of eighteen medals in a major international competition, including a world-record breaking gold at the 1998 ISSF World Cup meet in Cairo, Egypt and a silver in women's trap at the 2003 World Shotgun Championships in Nicosia, Cyprus. [1] Pelosi is a member of Valle Aniene Target Shooting Club (Italian : Tiro a Volo Valle Aniene), and a resident athlete of the Italian Clay Shooting Federation (Italian : Federazione italiana Tiro al Volo), where she trains under head coach and 1996 Olympic double trap medalist Albano Pera. Pelosi qualified for the Italian team, as a 43-year-old, in the women's trap at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. [2] She had registered a minimum qualifying score of 67 to fill out one of the Olympic places awarded to Italy from her top finish at the 2002 ISSF World Cup meet in Suhl, Germany. [1] [4] [5] Pelosi scored 58 hits out of a possible 75 to impose a three-way tie with Great Britain's Sarah Gibbins and 2000 Olympic double trap champion Pia Hansen of Sweden for ninth place in the qualifying round, just two targets away from the final cutoff. This article details the qualifying phase for shooting at the 2016 Summer Olympics. 366 quota places for the Games are entitled to the shooters coming from their respective NOCs, based on the results at designated ISSF supervised Championships subjected to the ISSF rules from August 1, 2014 to March 31, 2016, while the remaining twenty-four are available to the eligible NOCs under the Tripartite Commission Invitation to get a total quota of 390. Khaled Al-Mudhaf is a Kuwaiti sport shooter. He captured the men's trap title at the 2002 ISSF World Championships in Lahti, Finland, and finished in the top six respectively on two successive editions of the Olympic Games. Apart from his World championship title, Al-Mudhaf also collected fourteen more medals to his career record, including two from the Asian Games. Al-Mudhaf is a member of the Kuwait City Shooting Club, where he trains full-time under Russian-born coach Rustam Yambulatov.

Custódio Ribeiro Ezequiel is a Portuguese sport shooter. He was selected to compete for Portugal in two editions of the Olympic Games, and also produced a career tally of three medals, two golds and one bronze, at the ISSF World Cup series. Ezequiel is a member of Vilamoura Shooting Club.

Susan Maree Trindall is an Australian sport shooter. She has won a career tally of five medals, including a gold in women's double trap shooting under junior division at the 2001 ISSF World Championships in Cairo, Egypt, and had a golden opportunity to represent Australia at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Trindall is also a member of Showman's Clay Target Shooting Range and the Australian Clay Target Shooting Association, where she trains full-time under head coach Greg Chan.

Yelena Vladimirovna Dudnik is a Russian sport shooter. She attained top four finishes in double trap shooting at the European Championships, and had a golden opportunity to represent Russia at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, finishing ninth in the process. Dudnik trains full-time as a member of the shooting team for Dynamo Rostov under personal coach Irina Kravtchuk.

Megumi Inoue is a Japanese sport shooter. She has produced a career tally of six medals, including two golds in women's double trap shooting at the Asian Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and also finished fifth at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Inoue serves and trains full-time as a member of the Japanese Clay Target Shooting Association, under head coach Hiroshi Teranishi.

Stéphanie Neau is a French sport shooter. She was selected to compete for France in trap shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, and eventually won a bronze medal at the 2009 European Championships in Osijek, Croatia. Neau is a member of Ball Trap Club Chatelaillon in Châtelaillon-Plage, where she trains throughout her sport career under personal coach and 1996 Olympian Marc Mennessier.

Marina Karaflou is a Greek sport shooter. She was selected as one of eleven shooters to represent the host nation Greece at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, and also attained top eight finishes in pistol shooting at various meets of the ISSF World Cup series. Bianca Rosa Hansberg is a former Italian female sport shooter who won medals at individual senior level at the World Championships and European Championships.
