The NatWest Pro40 League was a one-day cricket league for first-class cricket counties in England and Wales. It was inaugurated in 1999,but was essentially the old Sunday League retitled to reflect large numbers of matches being played on days other than Sunday.

He played for Worcestershire. He was appointed vice-captain for the 2010 season,and made captain when Vikram Solanki resigned in mid-August.
James Charles Hildreth is a former English professional cricketer who played for Somerset County Cricket Club. He attended Millfield School,Somerset. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. Hildreth represented England at all youth levels including the 2003–04 Under-19 World cup held in Bangladesh. He made his first-class debut in 2003 and became a regular member of the side from the start of the 2004 season. The James Hildreth Stand was opened by him at Somerset County Cricket Ground on 21 September 2022.

Vernon Tickell Hill (1871–1932) was a Welsh cricketer who made 140 first-class appearances for Somerset and Oxford University between 1891 and 1912. He first played for Somerset during their successful 1890 season. He made his top-score of 116 against Kent in 1898,sharing a seventh wicket partnership of 240 with Sammy Woods. He was an infrequent bowler,claiming 31 career first-class wickets with his right-arm fast-medium bowling,but never taking more than six wickets in a season. Hill twice toured the United States of America,first as a member of F Mitchell's XI,and then as a member of PF Warner's XI.
Charles Arthur Winter was an English cricketer who played 26 first-class matches for Somerset County Cricket Club between 1921 and 1925. A right-handed batsman,he scored 437 first-class runs for the county from the middle-to-lower order. He also bowled occasionally for Somerset as a right-arm fast-medium bowler,claiming 15 wickets a bowling average of 38.13.
Theodore Robinson played first-class cricket for Somerset in 10 matches between 1884 and 1894. He was born at Beaminster in Dorset and died at Backwell,Somerset.
Mervyn Llewellyn Hill was a Welsh first-class cricket wicketkeeper and batsman for Somerset between 1921 and 1932,and also appeared in matches for Glamorgan and Cambridge University. He was also a member of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) team that toured India in 1926–27 and helped lay the foundation for India's entry into Test cricket.
The 2010 season saw Somerset County Cricket Club competing in three domestic competitions;the first division of the County Championship,the Clydesdale Bank 40 and the Friends Provident t20. They finished as runners-up in both the County Championship and the Friends Provident t20,and reached the final in the Clydesdale Bank 40 competition.

Benjamin George Frederick Green is an English cricketer who plays for Somerset County Cricket Club. He is a right-arm fast-medium pace bowler who also bats right-handed. He progressed through the Devon age group system before being offered a first team contract during the 2016 season. On 29 July 2016 he made his Twenty20 debut for Somerset against Hampshire in the 2016 NatWest t20 Blast.
The 2022 Royal London One-Day Cup tournament was a limited overs cricket competition that formed part of the 2022 domestic cricket season in England and Wales. Matches were contested over 50 overs per side,having List A cricket status,with all eighteen first-class counties competing in the tournament. The tournament began on 2 August 2022,with the final taking place on 17 September 2022 at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Glamorgan were the defending champions,having won the 2021 tournament. Kent won the tournament,beating Lancashire by 21 runs in the final.
