Robin Lee Ross (born August 17, 1954) is an American gridiron football coach. He was most recently the linebackers coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). [1]
Ross played college football for Rio Hondo College and the Washington State Cougars.
Ross was drafted in the tenth round of the 1976 NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He also played for the Seattle Seahawks. [2]
Ross has coached for Long Beach State, [3] Cincinnati, [4] Washington State, Iowa State, Western Washington, Fresno State, Oregon, [5] Oregon State, [6] [7] UNLV, and Wyoming. [8] He was the head football coach for Western Washington University from 2006 until the school dropped the sport in 2008. [9] [10] He has also coached for the Oakland Raiders and the BC Lions. Nicholas Alexander Barnett is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Oregon State Beavers, and was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 2003 NFL draft. He played professionally for the Packers, Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins. Sidelined by an injury, he was unable to play with the Packers during their Super Bowl XLV win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Rashaun Dorrell Woods is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). Woods played college football for Oklahoma State Cowboys, receiving All-American honors twice, including a consensus selection in 2002. He was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 2004 NFL draft, and played professionally for the NFL's 49ers, the CFL's Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europa. Woods currently coaches at Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas (2023–present).
Joseph Robert Garcia Kapp was an American football player, coach, and executive. He played college football as a quarterback for the California Golden Bears. Kapp played professionally in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Calgary Stampeders and the BC Lions and then in the National Football League (NFL) with the Minnesota Vikings and the Boston Patriots. Kapp led the BC Lions to their first Grey Cup Championship victory in 1964. With the Vikings, he led them to victory in the 1969 NFL Championship Game, the only league championship in team history. Kapp returned to his alma mater as head coach of the Golden Bears from 1982 to 1986. He was the general manager and president of the BC Lions in 1990.
David Wilcox, nicknamed "the Intimidator", was an American football linebacker who played with the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL) from 1964 through 1974. Named to play in seven Pro Bowls and an All-Pro five times, Wilcox played college football at Boise Junior College and the University of Oregon. Selected by the 49ers in the third round of the 1964 NFL draft, he was also taken by the Houston Oilers in the sixth round of the 1964 AFL draft, but opted for the NFL. Wilcox was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.
The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football team represents the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in NCAA Division I FBS college football. It was part of the Western Athletic Conference until July 2012, when the team joined the Mountain West Conference. From 2000 until 2013, the team was known simply as the Warriors. The Rainbow Warriors were the third team from a non automatic qualifier conference to play in a BCS bowl game. They played the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2008 Sugar Bowl and lost 41–10.
Johnny Ray Holland is an American professional football coach and former player who is the linebackers coach for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). Holland played in the NFL as a linebacker for the Green Bay Packers from 1987 to 1993. He was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.
Reginald O'Keith Rogers was an American professional football player who was a defensive tackle who played four seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Detroit Lions (1987–1988), Buffalo Bills (1991), and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1992).
The Montana State Bobcats football program competes in the Big Sky Conference of the NCAA's Division I Football Championship Subdivision for Montana State University. The program began in 1897 and has won three national championships. It is the only college football program in the nation to win national championships on three different levels of competition, NAIA, NCAA Division II, and NCAA Division I-AA.
