Rochelle Adonis is a Canadian Australian pastry chef, restaurateur, and television personality. She appeared as a celebrity judge on the first two seasons of The Great Canadian Baking Show alongside French-born Canadian chef Bruno Feldeisen.
Adonis was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. [1] She moved to Sydney at the age of ten, where she later studied to be a chef. [2] Having worked extensively in pastry kitchens across Europe, including the Hotel Sacher in Vienna, [2] Adonis returned to Australia in 1998, assuming senior pastry positions in several of Sydney's finest dining establishments. [2] Adonis moved to Perth in 2001 and sold wedding cakes and taught cooking classes. [2]
Adonis founded her eponymous brand in 2007, delivering cakes, handmade confections, and her own take on the traditional high tea dining experience in Perth, Western Australia. [2] In 2008, Adonis opened her first exclusive studio. Adonis relocated her flagship business in 2013 to Highgate, a northern suburb of Perth, after outgrowing her original studio. [3]
Adonis was a judge on the first two seasons of The Great Canadian Baking Show (a Canadian adaptation of The Great British Bake Off ), produced for the CBC Television network from 2017 to 2018. [4] [5]

The Great British Bake Off is a British television baking competition, produced by Love Productions, in which a group of amateur bakers compete against each other in a series of rounds, attempting to impress two judges with their baking skills. One contestant is eliminated in each round, and the winner is selected from the contestants who reach the final. The first episode was aired on 17 August 2010, with its first four series broadcast on BBC Two, until its growing popularity led the BBC to move it to BBC One for the next three series. After its seventh series, Love Productions signed a three-year deal with Channel 4 to produce the series for the broadcaster.

Sugar Rush is an American baking reality streaming television series, released on Netflix on July 13, 2018. The series features four professional teams of two competing in a baking competition for a prize of $10,000. Teams of two bakers compete in three rounds. The round one is cupcakes, round two is confections, and round three is cake. The third season, dubbed Sugar Rush: Extra Sweet, is the series' first spin-off season, where if a team wins either a cupcake or confection challenge, they can choose either additional 15-minute time in the final cake challenge or $1,500 prize.

Ten amateur bakers competed over eight weeks of challenges throughout the competition for the title. Canadian actor and television personality Dan Levy and Canadian-British actress Julia Chan returned as hosts, with French-born Canadian chef Bruno Feldeisen and Canadian-Australian pastry chef Rochelle Adonis also returning as judges. For the second season, producer Marike Emery stated that the audition process prioritized "skill over personality" and that the tasks would be more challenging than the first season.

The season marked the debut of Carolyn Taylor and Aurora Browne, of the Baroness von Sketch Show, as hosts and chef Kyla Kennaley as judge. French-born Canadian chef and pastry expert Bruno Feldeisen returned as judge for a third season.

Born in Singapore, she trained to become a pastry chef and after moving to the United Kingdom, has worked as an executive chef at various hotels and restaurants and has won a plethora of awards for her work. Since 2016, she has served as a judge on Bake Off: The Professionals.
