"Rock" is a song by American rapper Plies. It is a promotional single from his mixtape Ain't No Mixtape Bih 3 (2017). The song was produced by 30 Roc and Cheeze Beatz. In early 2018, it became a viral sensation on the Internet [2] and peaked at number 95 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song finds Plies rapping about his love and appreciation for a woman loyal to him. [2] [3] It heavily samples "Late Night Tip" by Three 6 Mafia, nearly identical in instrumental. [4]
A music video for the song was released on December 25, 2017 [2] and directed by Omar The Director. In it, Plies roams the halls of luxurious mansion with his girlfriend. He gives her a piggyback ride, and goes bowling with her. [2] [5]

Born in Fort Myers, Florida, Plies was a wide receiver on the Miami Redskins football team of Miami University in Ohio for two years in 1995 before embarking on a musical career. After a brief transfer to University of Central Florida, he dropped out and signed with South Florida-based record label Slip-n-Slide Records in 2004; after four mixtapes, he signed a joint venture with Atlantic Records two years later.
Antoine Franklin McColister, known professionally Ace Hood, is an American rapper. Born in Port St. Lucie and raised in Deerfield Beach, Florida, he was discovered by disc jockey DJ Khaled and became the first act to sign with his record label, We the Best Music Group in 2008. Released in a joint venture with Def Jam Recordings, his debut studio album, Gutta (2008) was met with mild critical and commercial reception, but yielded his first Billboard Hot 100 entry, "Ride".

Based in Atlanta, he is recognized in the music industry for his aggressive, trap-infused production work for prominent hip hop artists. His production work for hometown rapper Waka Flocka Flame led Luellen to sign with his label Brick Squad Monopoly, an imprint of Gucci Mane's 1017 Records as in-house talent in 2010. Shoreline Mafia is an American hip hop band based in Los Angeles, that was originally active from 2016 until 2020. Their debut mixtape, ShorelineDoThatShit (2017) garnered local success, leading to a commercial re-issue by Atlantic Records in May 2018. In August of that year, they released the extended play (EP) Party Pack, and its sequel, Party Pack Vol. 2 in September 2019. Their debut studio album, Mafia Bidness (2020) peaked at number 27 on the Billboard 200. In April of that year, one of the band's founding members, Fenix Flexin announced his departure, leading its remaining members to disband. Although they disbanded in 2020, but reformed to embark on an anniversary tour for Party Pack Vol. 2, Scheduled to begin in September 2024 and are set to release new music in 2024.
