The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a professional Canadian football team based in Regina, Saskatchewan. The Roughriders at times compete in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a member club of the league's West Division. The Roughriders were founded in 1910 as the Regina Rugby Club. Although Saskatchewan was not the first team to play football in Western Canada, the club has maintained an unbroken organizational continuity since their founding. The Roughriders are the fourth-oldest professional gridiron football team in existence today. The Roughriders are both the oldest professional sports team still in existence that continuously has been based in Western Canada and the oldest in North America to continuously have been based west of St. Louis, Missouri. The team changed their name to the Regina Roughriders in 1924, and to the current moniker in 1946. The Roughriders played their home games at historic Taylor Field from 1936 to 2016; in 2017, the team moved to the newly constructed Mosaic Stadium at Evraz Place.
Gino Raymond Michael Cappelletti was an American professional football player. He played college football for the Minnesota Golden Gophers and was an All-Star in the American Football League (AFL) for the Boston Patriots, winning the 1964 AFL Most Valuable Player Award. Cappelletti is a member of the Patriots Hall of Fame, and the Patriots' All-1960s Team. He served as the Patriots' radio color commentator until July 2012. His nicknames included "the Duke" and "Mr. Patriot".
Kerry Tremaine Joseph is an American professional football coach and former player who is the quarterbacks coach for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at McNeese State as a quarterback and was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 1996. He later played defensive back for the Seattle Seahawks from 1998 to 2001. Joseph then played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a quarterback from 2003 to 2014. He was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Player in 2007 while leading the Saskatchewan Roughriders to victory in the 95th Grey Cup. At the end of the season, he had completed 267 of 459 passes for 4,002 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also led all quarterbacks in the league in rushing with 737 yards on 90 attempts and 13 touchdowns.
Jeremaine Copeland is a former professional gridiron football wide receiver. He has played with the Montreal Alouettes, Calgary Stampeders, and Toronto Argonauts, as well as in the XFL and NFL Europe.
Christopher Michael Neal is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper and is now a goalkeeping coach at National League club AFC Fylde.
Roell Preston is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver and return specialist in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round of the 1995 NFL draft. A 5-foot 10-inch, 187-pound receiver from the University of Mississippi, Preston played in five NFL seasons from 1995 to 1999 for the Falcons, the Green Bay Packers, the Miami Dolphins, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Tennessee Titans. He was a 1998 Pro Bowl selection as a member of the Packers, mainly used as a kickoff and punt return specialist. He is currently living in the North Miami area.
Jeffrey Alan Fuller, Jr. is a former American football wide receiver. He was most recently a member of the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Texas A&M. He has also been a member of the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks in the NFL, and Calgary Stampeders and Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL. Fuller is currently CEO of a leading marketing firm, Fuller Marketing Corporation, out of Oklahoma City, OK.
Terrell Maze is a former Canadian football cornerback. He was signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at San Diego State.
Robert Sands is a former American football safety. He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL draft. He played college football for the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Jones was a member of the Arizona Cardinals, BC Lions, Green Bay Packers, Florida Blacktips, Edmonton Eskimos, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Donald Edward Gerhardt was a Canadian football player who played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, winning the Grey Cup with them in 1966. He played college football at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. After his retirement from football he was CEO of a health care trade association, Medical Alley/MNBIO and LifeScience Alley, living in Golden Valley, Minnesota.
Donald Weiss was a Canadian football player who played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Saskatchewan Roughriders. He played college football at Juniata College. He was inducted into their athletic hall of fame in 1999. He died in 2010.
Herbert Coleman is a former American football defensive lineman who played one season with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL) in the seventh round of the 1995 NFL draft. He played college football at Trinity International University and attended Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills, Illinois. Coleman was also a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, New Orleans Saints, Rhein Fire, Milwaukee Mustangs, Denver Broncos, Orlando Predators and Colorado Crush.
Zephrini Lee is a former American football player who played three seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Raiders. He was selected by the Raiders in the ninth round of the 1986 NFL draft. He played college football at the University of Southern California and attended Abraham Lincoln High School in San Francisco, California. Lee was also a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Sacramento Attack, Arizona Rattlers and Miami Hooters.

Preston Terrance Williams is an American football wide receiver for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Colorado State. He has played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers.
Kenneth Joseph Preston was a Canadian football player, coach and executive. He played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and Ottawa Rough Riders. He was the head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders from 1946 to 1947. From 1958 to 1978, he was the Roughriders' general manager. He was inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in 1980 and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1990. He also was inducted into the Roughriders' plaza of honor in 1987. From 1962 until his retirement in 1979, they made the playoffs every year.
