Ernest G. Green III (born June 28, 1975) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Florida State Seminoles, earning second-team All-American honors in 1997. He is currently the head football coach at Destin High School in Destin, Florida.
Green was born on June 28, 1975, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida [2] and attended Fort Walton Beach High School. Along with quarterback and friend Danny Wuerffel, he led the Vikings to an undefeated season and a #2 national ranking by USA Today en route to the Florida AAAA state football championship in 1991.
Green played for coach Bobby Bowden at Florida State University. He redshirted during the 1993 national championship year for the Seminoles. As a redshirt freshman in 1994, Green played in 11 games, catching 18 passes for 192 yards and one touchdown. During his sophomore year in 1995, Green emerged onto the national scene, catching 60 passes for 1007 yards and 10 touchdowns in 11 games. As a junior in 1996, Green and the Seminoles utilized a more run-oriented offense behind halfback Warrick Dunn, but Green pulled in 34 passes for 662 yards and 7 touchdowns in a year that saw the Seminoles play for the national title. In his senior year, Green cemented his place as one of college football's finest receivers with his second 1000-yard season. He ended 1997 with 54 catches for 1059 yards and 11 touchdowns, and was named a 2nd Team All-American by both the Associated Press and the Football News.
Green left Florida State as the Seminoles' all-time leader in receiving touchdowns, with 29 in his career. And with 182 total points, he still stands at 13th on the all-time scoring list at Florida State. During Green's five years as a player, from 1993 to 1997, Florida State amassed a 56–6–1 record.
Green was drafted by the Colts in the third round of the 1998 NFL draft, and was the 71st overall pick. [3] [4] He played in 12 games in 1998 and had 15 receptions for 177 yards and one touchdown (an 11.8 yards per reception average). In 1999, Green played in 11 games and had 21 receptions for 287 yards, averaging 13.7 yards per reception. He suffered a fractured leg in the first half of the Colts divisional playoff contest against the eventual AFC champion Tennessee Titans. In 2000, Green's final year with the Colts, he played in only five games and had 18 receptions for 201 yards and one touchdown.
Green was announced as the head football coach for Destin High School on December 15, 2021. [5]
Frederick Biletnikoff, nicknamed "Scarecrow", is an American former football player and coach. He played as a wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL) for fourteen seasons and later was an assistant coach with the team. He retired as an NFL player after the 1978 season, and then played one additional season in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Montreal Alouettes in 1980. While he lacked the breakaway speed to be a deep-play threat, Biletnikoff was one of the most sure-handed and consistent receivers of his day, with a propensity for making spectacular catches. He was also known for running smooth, precise pass routes. He is a member of both the Pro Football Hall of Fame (1988) and College Football Hall of Fame (1991).
Graduel Christopher Darwin Carter is an American former football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Philadelphia Eagles (1987–1989), the Minnesota Vikings (1990–2001) and the Miami Dolphins (2002). He is widely regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time.
Reginald Wayne is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver for 14 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes, and was selected by the Colts in the first round of the 2001 NFL draft with the 30th overall pick. A six-time Pro Bowl selection, Wayne was a member of the Colts' Super Bowl XLI. He ranks second in Colts' franchise history to Marvin Harrison in major receiving categories: receptions, receiving yards, targets, and receiving touchdowns. On December 14, 2014, Wayne played in both his 209th game and his 142nd win as a member of the Colts, breaking the franchise records set by Peyton Manning.
Andre Previn Rison is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders. He also played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Toronto Argonauts. Rison was selected to the Pro Bowl five times from 1990 to 1993 and once again in 1997.
Jerome Pathon is a South African-born Canadian former gridiron football player who was a wide receiver for eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Washington Huskies, earning first-team All-American honors in 1997. Selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the second round of the 1998 NFL draft, he played in the NFL for the Colts, New Orleans Saints, and Atlanta Falcons. After his playing career, he was a position coach for both the University of South Florida and University of San Diego football teams.
Michael Troy Williams is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the USC Trojans, receiving consensus All-American honors in 2003. The Detroit Lions selected him in first round of the 2005 NFL draft, and he also played in the NFL for the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks.

D'Tanyian Jacquez "Quezi" Green is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver and punt returner in the National Football League (NFL) for five seasons during the 1990s and early 2000s. Green played college football for the Florida Gators, earning consensus All-American honors in 1997. He was a second-round pick in the 1998 NFL draft, and played professionally for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Washington Redskins and the Detroit Lions of the NFL.
Dwayne Lorenzo Bowe is an American former football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons. He played college football at Louisiana State University, and was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft. He played for the Chiefs from 2007 to 2014. He led the NFL in receiving touchdowns with 15 in 2010, earning Pro Bowl and Second-team All-Pro honors. He also played for the Cleveland Browns in 2015.
