Thomas was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts with the 239th pick in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. [3] In Week 5 of the 2022 season, on Thursday Night Football , Thomas intercepted Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson. [4] [5] He finished his rookie season with 52 tackles, six passes defensed, and four interceptions through 17 games and 10 starts.

Thomas entered the 2023 season as the Colts starting strong safety. He finished the season with 34 tackles, four passes defensed, and two interceptions through 17 games and 15 starts.
