Thomas was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts with the 239th pick in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL draft. [3] In Week 5 of the 2022 season, on Thursday Night Football , Thomas intercepted Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson. [4] [5] He finished his rookie season with 52 tackles, six passes defensed, and four interceptions through 17 games and 10 starts. [6]

Thomas entered the 2023 season as the Colts starting strong safety. He finished the season with 34 tackles, four passes defensed, and two interceptions through 17 games and 15 starts. [7]
