Rosalie Deighton (born 26 July 1976) is an English singer and songwriter.
Deighton was born in Breda, Netherlands to an Indonesian mother, Josie and to British father, Dave Deighton. [1] The family moved to Barnsley, South Yorkshire when Rosalie was eight years old. [2] [3]
Together with her siblings and both parents, Deighton performed as part of the Deighton Family on albums Mama Was Right (1990), Acoustic Music Meant to Suit Most Occasions (1988) and Rolling Home (1991).
In 1993, Deighton and her sister Kathleen recorded an album, Intuition, along with Kate Rusby, Kathryn Roberts, Julie Matthews and Pat Shaw. The album was released on the Fat Cat Label. [4]
As a solo artist, Deighton has released three albums and provided backing vocals on Paddy Casey's album Living. [5] The album was the second-highest selling Irish album of 2004.
Deighton's first solo album, Truth Drug, debuted in 2001, [6] followed by 21 Days on the Echo label in 2007. [7]
Her latest album, Burning Boat, was released in 2014. [8] Recorded at the Bearclaw Records Studio facility in Deighton's hometown of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, it was produced by Rick Barraclough. The album features guest appearances from Jack Savoretti and M. G. Boulter. It was Bearclaw's first album release.
In addition to performing as one half of the celebrated duo Balsamo/Deighton, Deighton has been an occasional guest ‘Champ’ in the band Danny and the Champions of the World. She was featured on two albums, Hearts & Arrows [9] (2011) and the critically acclaimed Stay True, [10] (2013) both on Loose Music.
House of Pain was an American hip-hop trio that released three albums in the 1990s. The group consisted of DJ Lethal, Danny Boy, and Everlast. The group's 1992 hit single "Jump Around" reached number 3 in their native United States of America, number 6 in Ireland and number 8 in the United Kingdom. The group broke up in 1996.

KC and the Sunshine Band is an American disco and funk band that was founded in 1973 in Hialeah, Florida. Their best-known songs include the hits "That's the Way ", "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty", "I'm Your Boogie Man", "Keep It Comin' Love", "Get Down Tonight", "Boogie Shoes", "Please Don't Go" and "Give It Up". The K Foundation was an art foundation set up by Jimmy Cauty and Bill Drummond, formerly of The KLF, in 1993, following their 'retirement' from the music industry. The Foundation served as an artistic outlet for the duo's post-retirement KLF income. The Storys were a Welsh rock band from Swansea, Wales, which formed in 2003. Their main influence was 1970s US West Coast bands in the country rock genre. The band currently consists of Steve Balsamo, Andy Collins, Rob Thompson, Brian Thomas, and Alan Thomas and formerly included Dai Smith, who sang and played guitar until August 2008, when he left. He was replaced by Rosalie Deighton.

Danny Weinkauf is a Grammy-winning New York–based musician and composer. He has been the longtime bassist for They Might Be Giants (TMBG). He has recorded and toured with the band since the late 1990s. Weinkauf had previously performed in a band called Lincoln along with TMBG's guitarist Dan Miller and drummer Gonzalo Martinez De La Cotera. He has written four songs for TMBG, all for their children's albums. Weinkauf wrote and sang "Where Do They Make Balloons?" on the children's album No!, "Number Two" from Here Come The 123s, "I Am a Paleontologist" from Here Comes Science, and "Elephants" from Why? He also played bass alongside bandmate John Flansburgh for his solo project Mono Puff, in addition to providing additional bass on John Linnell's State Songs album. In 2014 Weinkauf began releasing albums for children and families as "Danny Weinkauf". That year he released "No School Today" followed by "Red Pants Band" (2016), "Totally Osome!" (2017), "Inside I Shine" (2018), "Dinosaurs and Metaphors" (2020), "Words" (2021), "lullabies" (2022) and "Light Up Your Love" (2023). The later 7 albums were all released on his own label Red Pants Music except "Words". He performs live as 'Danny Weinkauf and his Red Pants Band' with Tina Kenny Jones on bass, keyboards, and vocals, Steven Plesnarski on drums and vocals, and Russ Jones on guitar, bass, vocals, and ukulele. Danny and the Champions of the World are a heartland rock and soul band. Formed in London during the summer of 2007 by Danny George Wilson, the band have since released six studio albums and one live album. The band's name is an allusion to the novel Danny, the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl.

Brothers Osborne is an American country music duo consisting of brothers T.J. Osborne and John Osborne. Born in Deale, Maryland, the duo signed a recording contract with EMI Records Nashville in 2012 and began releasing music the following year. The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican are a British comedy folk and parody band from Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Formed in 2006, they claim to be the hardest working comedy band in the UK, having played over 1250 shows throughout the UK. They are best known on the UK's festival scene, having played at major festivals including Glastonbury Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Beautiful Days, Bearded Theory, Rebellion Festival, Wychwood Festival, Kate Rusby's Underneath The Stars Festival, Towersey Festival, Wickham Festival, Shrewsbury Folk Festival and to an audience of 20,000 at Fairport's Cropredy Convention in August 2018, for their 900th show and again in 2022. Playing mainly acoustic folk instruments, they take popular songs and replace the lyrics with their own comedy reworkings, often on themes completely unrelated to the original song. They have independently released eleven studio albums, and a large number of live albums. Presenting themselves as the long-lost children of Irish entertainer Val Doonican, and claiming to be "on a mission to keep their late, great spiritual father's legacy alive", the various members of the band have adopted the singer's surname for their shows, and wear brightly coloured hand-knitted tank-tops in tribute to Doonican's traditional knitwear.
